• Headphones for Success

  Thank you for your donation of the headphones with microphones to my class. The headphones made such a huge difference in testing. The students loved the comfort of them and fit them perfectly. The microphones picked up their voices, even when they weren't talking loudly. It made the testing go a lot smoother. Through all the testing we do that requires verbal responses, knowing we have reliable headphones will help in being able to hear the students' responses

• Let's Get Organized

  Thank you for your donation for my class to receive the binders, pencil pouches, sheet protectors, and clear pockets for the binders. The students are able to keep their word lists clean and easy to access at school and at home. The books they put in the clear pouches don't fall out and get lost. Parents are loving them as well. They like word lists and books being in one spot. Parents also enjoy notes and flyers being in one spot and not just thrown in the backpacks.

• On the Road to Organization

  Thank you for your generous donation. Your donation has helped me increase my parent engagement while also increasing my parent communication. Parents are commenting how they love the organization. Notes are not getting mixed up with class work. They are now able to keep their sight words with them in the sheet protectors to read daily. The pencil pouch has been a great way for parents to send money for snow cone days and the money does not get lost.

  Using the binders have helped the kids become responsible for having all their things in one spot.

• Responsible Kids in the Making

  My students have been enjoying the new rug and headphones. The new headphones have helped ensure all kids have their own. he new rug has given a new place for kids to gather for morning meetings and do some center activities while having more space.

  Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Without your donation I would not have been able to provide my students with the new rug and headphones.

  The new charging station has allowed me to keep ipads charged because it charges the ipads quickly.

• Let's Get to Building

  Funded Aug 13, 2021

  The students have been using the new blocks to build many things such as; castles, barns, farms, houses, streets for cars, ramps for toy cars, patterning and trains. We have used them for counting and stem projects and to see how high we can stack blocks before they fall.

  When they first saw the materials they swarmed the boxes and wanted to get building right away. We took turns for the next two days for them to have ample time to build to their hearts content.

• Sensory Building

  My students have loved the kinetic sand and sand toys. They use their imaginations to tell stories and build conversational skills. The students were excited to open the sand and use it all. It is a popular station that students ask for on a daily basis. The next steps for my students is to have them take a picture of what they make, write about it, and share it to me through Seesaw.

• Building Life Long Readers

  Thank you for your donation for my classes new set of Big Books. Students are loving the books and read them daily. They are engaged when we are reading and enjoy the word scavenger hunts we have when they are at centers. They are now beginning to decode the words since we use these books when we are working on our phonics skills.

  Your kindness to my kids means a lot. These kids are excelling during a pandemic due to your dedication to their education. These are hard times for all but when kind people help others it makes the world so much better.

• Little Engineers

  Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students were so excited to see the new building materials. With your donation I am able to make more than one center for students to build things and use their creativity. They love for me to take pictures of what they build to show other teachers.

• Let's Make 10

  Funded Dec 29, 2020

  Thank you for giving to my project. My kids were excited to see the materials because now they can each have their own materials.

  I use them as a whole class and able to walk around and monitor the students as they complete tasks. I can also use them in small groups to practice counting skills, greater than less than, addition, and subtraction skills.

  Students are also using them at stations and taking pictures of their work to share with their parents.

• No Strings Attached

  Funded May 5, 2020

  My students have really enjoyed the puppets. They use the theatre all the time to tell stories, to practice reading to their friends, to make up their own stories, and to also teach their friends letter sounds. Just recently they are starting to use the knowledge they have learned in math to teach their friends with the puppets and the table top theatre. Having this option has really drawn out the students and my own creativity. We are still coming up with new ideas on how to use the puppets and the theatre. We are going to use them for our next unit. They now want to take the show on the "road" (to other classes) and tell them about animal habitats.
