Mental Health is Essential
Funded Jan 13, 2022I am thrilled by the impact you have made to my project.
First, I would like to say that you put a big smile to my students' faces. Since the COVID hit us, it has impacted my students as well in a negative way. They seem to struggle a lot with mental health such as anxiety, lack of motivation, etc. This project made them feel worth it again knowing that there are people that care about them. They are seating comfortably in circles, talking about their life as well as their mental health. They loved the pillows that they use to lean on and feel comfortable but also to sit on.
We have used them almost every day and one of the reason I know they like them is because they come to my room even during lunch seating on the pillows.
We have also used them outdoors enjoying Advisory time talking about anything while eating lunch.
Once again, thank you very much for all you did for my students and they are very appreciative too!”

Educational Trip to Washington, D.C.
Funded Nov 22, 2017I am humbled by your gratitude and the gesture you did for my students. They enjoyed a lot of museums in Washington D.C. They visited the American History, Natural History, American Indian, and many monuments. This trip was very essential for both students and teachers. It was equal educational as social. It helped students gain new knowledge without leaving aside the social part where they got to socialize more with each other. Moreover, they got to know students from other schools spending quality time with a group of students from New Jersey.
I can't thank you enough because you helped my 12th graders finalize their high school year in a very effective way.”

Would you Want to Write on a Blackboard?
Funded Dec 30, 2014Your donation is helping about 100 of my students plus more since I share my room with other teachers. Using a dry - erase board is helpful in many aspects. It is not only more convenient for the teachers but more interactive for the students. Now I get to use more colors to make it easier for the students since I teach international kids. I thank you from my heart because your donation have impacted my students' learning in so many positive ways. They love using the dry erase board. Now they volunteer to come up and write even when I am supposed to do things. Believe it or not, students jump up their chairs to write on the board as they find it easy and fun to write on it. Again, thank you very much for the generosity and the help to benefit my students' learning.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kia and 6 other donors.Journal Project
Funded Sep 21, 2014I do not know how to thank you enough for the donation that you did to my students. I am truly thankful to you that my students have these journals in their hands. When my students saw the journals for the first time they were fascinated by the appearance. I did not tell them about the journals until they arrived because I do not think there is something more exciting than seeing your students' facial expressions when they see something they like. They could not wait until they used them for the first time.
For me it is more exciting than just a journal because now, I can read what goes on in their mind that sometimes they find hard to explain or open up. I am getting to know my students more and more every day because of the donation you made. I am happy to read journals every day. Thank you, thank you, thank you also on behalf of my students.”

Printer Needed to Provide Students with Work to Practice
Funded Nov 27, 2013Words are not enough to describe how much my students liked the printer. They could not wait to get the printer shipped but unfortunately it corresponded with the Regents week. I had to unpack the package without my students being there since it is a necessary for me as well. It was a very beautiful surprise for them to come and see it in the room after Regents week. Thank you very much from my students as well as from me because access to a printer is limited as well. Now, for the first time especially for me as a teacher, I have the opportunity to have my personal printer. The one that was available was used by all the teachers and had no ink most of the times or even paper jam many times. Me and my students are very grateful for your generosity and how much you care about my work as we teacher as well as my students' work quality. Thank you all very much and I wish you all the best!”
