I sincerely thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity! My heart is overflowing with gratitude. I look forward to locating hands on and engaging activities that my students will enjoy in Reading and Language centers. I love to see their enthusiasm when it’s time to work in centers, and this way I can continue to find new resources!”

  • Keeping Our Eyes on Technology Part 2

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

We'd like to send a huge shout out to you all for investing in our future! We are truly grateful for your generous donation in helping equip our classroom with new and updated technology. With COVID restrictions on the forefront, technology has become an integral part of our daily learning. A number of assignments are placed in Google Classroom, and we need reliable devices that students can work on without delay. We also complete assignments in Common Lit, Zearn, and iReady, as well as AR testing. Our new laptop is allowing our students to do so successfully. Again, we are truly thankful for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Broussard

  • Oh Yes, Our Eyes Are On Technology and ActivSlate Pens!

    Funded Dec 8, 2016

While I work with my guided reading and math centers, I have several active and engaging centers that reinforce and enhance lessons previously taught.

One center includes the Promethean Board, as well as the ActivSlate. Please know the interactive pens are used daily! Students love using technology during our hands-on interactive lessons. As a teacher, I truly feel it enhances all of our lessons.

We appreciate your help and can't thank you enough for reaching out to us. Have a wonderful new year!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Broussard

All of my students are grateful for your donation, support and help. Thank you so very much!

I cannot begin to express how excited I am with the ActivSlate donation you made to my classroom. I am truly excited to get started learning about this awesome tool. My students and I are so appreciative that you did this for us.

I plan to use it with whole class with my Promethean Board and flip charts daily.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

#BESTSCHOOLDAY ever! Thanks to all who supported this amazing campaign. My students love the ActivSlate.”

  • Keeping Our Eyes Focused on Technology!

    Funded May 15, 2015

I can't fully express my gratitude for your donation to my project. So, let me just say Thank you, thank you and another thank you! It was so appreciated.

I am looking forward to using the Professional Development plan of action set up to learn more about this new Windows 8 computer you have funded. With the help of our school tech specialist in coming months, I will embark on a path where I will become a student again to learn more about this wonderful resource.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Broussard

  • Eyes on Technology

    Funded Oct 29, 2014

Thank you so very much for participating in the Donors Choose program and funding our request for a new computer. The students are eager and thrilled to begin working.

With the many demands for use of technology in the classroom, it's great to know we have a reliable computer that we can count on. Students will be busy taking AR tests, completing i-Ready Reading and Math lessons, researching topics for Science and Social Studies, as well as practicing their typing skills using the keyboard. It will also serve as our main computer on which our Promethean board will be connected. Students will be able to present mini presentations using our new computer. We look forward to getting started.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Broussard

As both a parent and a teacher, I feel like I play a huge role in the lives of children. My 3rd grade class is composed of 26 eager minds. We live in a community where parental involvement is a huge plus for our school. Together, we provide a positive learning experience both at school and home. In the past 18 years, I have seen the impact technology plays in our classrooms. We no longer have blackboards because the majority of our lessons are taught using interactive whiteboards. When I started teaching, computers were used for enrichment. Now technology is a needed staple in our daily lessons. Whether it is for reading, math or other subjects, my students need reliable computers for productive lessons. With aging technology, slow computers can hinder fast paced lessons. With that in mind, I am asking for a new computer to replace one that is on its last leg. Any assistance with this would be appreciated.
