The books that I have chosen will expose my students to literature that they would normally not choose on their own. I plan to use them as read alouds and then insert them in our classroom library for them to explore during independent reading time. After being exposed to a difficult school year, the SEL and Diversity card kits will be used to bring awareness of themselves and others as we go through the new school year. I look forward to using them as a tool in our responsive classroom.
