Start Up School Supplies
Funded Aug 28, 2016Dear Gracious Donors,
I am so thankful that you donated to this project! It has made a world of difference in my classroom. All of my students have a plastic pencil case to keep their crayons, pencils, and other supplies safe and secure. The classroom is much neater because my students are more organized. My students and I are not stressed about having pencils with which to do their work. I have enough pencils sharpened at the beginning of the day to last throughout the day. Nobody has an excuse to be unprepared.
My students truly appreciate having everything they need available for them.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hillery

Funded Dec 8, 2015My students were so excited to receive the snacks and water from your donation. They were able to have an afternoon snack and a mid-morning snack, if needed. We have used the Clorox wipes to clean off our desks, computers, and other shared surfaces in the classroom. We also used the heavy duty "Scrubs" wipes to clean off our desk, chairs, and other surfaces in the classroom. We are hoping for a germ free environment!
Our hands and faces also thank you for the lotion. When the cold winter air has our skin dry and brittle, we just use some of the Lubriderm and feel so soft and smooth! We also also grateful for the tissues. We have not had many colds, but during the occasional runny nose or sneeze, we have tissues to blow our noses with!
I feel that the donations have added in our winter survival, thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hillery

Funded Dec 20, 2015We were so excited to receive our New Year's Supplies the day after we returned from Christmas break! We opened everything up and began using the supplies at once. The dry erase markers are used daily by students during small group instruction for reading and math. The old markers we had were dried out, so it was so nice to have new markers to use during group. The colored dry erase markers are used during instruction for all subjects. It is nice to have colors to highlight various steps in a process, or to write an answer to a problem. All of the paper is being used for classroom instruction in all subjects. I do not have to feel stressed about running out of paper, I have plenty to last until the end of the school year. The colored paper has been used for graphic organizers, special projects, and parental communications. Its beneficial to have colored paper because it stands out from the white copy paper. My students have also used the colored pencils for various projects almost daily in class. We are so grateful to you and your donations to our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hillery
Great Start for School Year 2015!
Funded Sep 29, 2015I am so thankful for your generous donations. The impact on my class has been tremendous! First, heavy duty pencil sharpener helps to start the day off for all of my students with sharpened pencils. They do not have to wait to get their pencils sharpened or worry about not having a pencil with a point. The Breast Cancer Awareness pencils are sharpened and given to each child daily. It is easy to identify which are the "class" pencils because they are pink. Students are ready to work right away!
The Scented Markers were a huge success! My students love using them during Literacy, Math, Social Studies, and Science classes. They are excited and share the markers within their groups. My students use the colored pencils every day as well. These are used especially during writing, to draw pictures in their journals.
I appreciate you helping in the educational journey for my students!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hillery
Start Up Supplies
Funded Oct 13, 2014My students are excited to have their own supplies given to them and kept in the beautiful blue pencil cases. They are learning to be responsible for their own items. My students are taking pride in their learning as well. They can complete assignments without asking to borrow a pencil or crayons from someone else.
Since receiving the materials my students have had the supplies they need each day in school. Some have kept the crayons neatly in the pencil cases, while others needed to be replenished. I was able to give the students the missing crayons because of your donations.
The pencils were the biggest help in the classroom. My students have a pencil every day to immediately start their assignments. The primary pencils do not break as easily as the regular pencils, so the pencils have lasted quite a long time! We have used the construction paper as posters in the classroom as well as for student projects and assignments.
We are so thankful for our start up supplies which have helped the educational experience for my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hillery
