  • Early Literacy Enrichment

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Today my students took home their bags filled with books to read at home with their families. They were so excited to carry them home and look at the books inside. Due to your generosity, my students will be able to continue their love of reading at home. Books can be expensive for families, so I love that students are reading new titles and authors throughout the week. The best part of this project is that my future students will get the benefit of using these amazing bags to read with their families as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and donations to help get more books in the hands of children!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sweeney

  • Maker Space Challenge

    Funded Oct 21, 2024

A love for books is something that is cultivated over time. My students will be able to hear this wonderful literature, let it inspire them to be creative thinkers, and then be able to engineer their ideas to make the world a better place. This can happen for my students and the other students in my school because of your generous donations and your love of books.

My TK students are just starting to learn to read, but they are so eager to gain knowledge. Their love of books grows every day. The books and other materials from this project will be placed in a Maker Space cart for teachers and students to use. Students will be able to hear inspiring stories of diverse children solving problems that will hopefully inspire them to do the same. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations and generosity!”

  • Curious Coders=

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Many of the students in my class use technology on a daily basis, but they do not know or understand much about coding. Our new Bee-Bots will impact the students in many ways including cooperative group work, problem solving, and comunication through language and coding.

The students are most excited about using a real robot. They are excited to get to explore coding with a hands-on approach. This foundational work with coding will give my students a better understanding of how computers, robots, and technology works. They will have a chance to code, program, and debug while using the Bee-Bots in all areas of the day including science, social studies, reading, math, and even art.

Thank you again for your generous donations to make this learning possible for my students.”

  • Small Fingers Can Do Big Work

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for your generosity! My students were so excited to start building letters with playdough using the new playdough mats. They worked the playdough to even create their names. They were very curious to use the tweezers and they took a little bit of practice to successfully pick up objects, but their eyes lit up when they did it. They had so much fun using the materials.

My students next year, will also enjoy using these new materials in literacy centers where they will be able to practice letters while developing their fine motor skills. Thank you again for donating to this project. My students and I are so appreciative of your generosity.”

  • We Are Off To Kindergarten!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

I want to start by thanking you for your support in education and your generous donations that helped to fund this project. My students love learning, exploring, and discovering.

These materials will help to foster that love of learning. The magic writing tablets will give them space to write and draw about what they have discovered or what they are curious about. The coloring book and crayons will foster their creativity. The little stuffed animals will help give them joy as they continue to explore things around them.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations for my students so that I can provide these materials for them to take home and enjoy.”

  • Shady Outdoor Classroom!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

With your generous donations and support, our new resources have enabled students to use their imaginations to build sandcastles, volcanos, and mud pies in our new shady sandbox area. Students have the opportunity to draw and write in our art area as well as paint and create. With these resources, we were able to replace our equipment with safe activities like walking cups for students to build strength, release energy, and just have fun.

The students in all of the Universal TK and Kindergarten classrooms were so excited to see the playground and to use the new materials. This project was able to extend our learning outside as well as enhance our thinking inside the classroom.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!”

  • We Are on Our Way to Kindergarten!

    Funded May 13, 2023

My students were so curious and excited when they first saw the materials. They cheered and clapped as I showed them each item in their special summer bag. Now my students will be able to continue their reading, writing, and math learning over the summer before they head to kindergarten.

Through your kindness, these new resources will allow my students to making creations out of playdough, practice writing letters and words on the magic board, as well as other hands-on materials to learn through play.

These special items will be a memory of our classroom, friends, and the work that they have accomplished in UTK. Thank you so much for your generosity and dedication to children.”

  • Outdoor Imaginative Play

    Funded Jul 13, 2022

It is with my utmost sincerity, that I thank you for your generosity. The new resources are being utilized on the playground for my students as well as the other kindergarten classrooms. Students are using the steering wheel that we attached to a movable stand to pretend to drive school buses, race cars, and minivans. Their imaginations are endless.

The students eyes were amazed at all of the wonderful materials and they were gushing with excitement. They quickly learned how to navigate the balance beam game, trying out different patterns and challenges. They have made obstacle courses while they play to learn in the classroom using the Stepping Stones and working as a team so everyone can be successful.

Our students are using their imagination, gross motor skills, and cooperation to be competent citizens of the world. Thanks to your donations and kind hearts, the new materials in the classroom and on the playground are helping my students and more to accomplish great things.”

  • Sensory Magic

    Funded May 3, 2022

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support and donations to this project. My students were ecstatic when the boxes arrived in the classroom and they couldn't believe their eyes when they saw what was inside. They actually cheered and clapped when I turned on the light table as they watched the colors change and flash. These resources will be used for this school year and for many years to come.

The Bristle Builders are great for students to use their imaginations to create and build different objects like airplanes, houses, and cars. Students work collaboratively, exchange ideas, and show enthusiasm when using all of these materials. The magnetic shapes were a huge hit among the students. They have created elaborate structures using their STEM skills. My students are creating structures during our Community Helpers unit to build ideal neighborhoods.

I want to thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and support. My students have loved using the new bristle blocks, magna-tiles, and sensory table this year and my students next year will be just as excited.”
