  • Fund Our Fun!

    Funded Aug 20, 2022

My students have been soooo excited to earn fun parties with all of the resources you have provided them with. So far they have earned the bouncy ball, punching balloon, flashlight, slime and bubble parties. This has really helped them work together on a goal and for us to keep focusing on positive behavior instead of just punishing bad behavior. I have found many ways to incorporate fun learning into these parties, as well. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to have these fun experiences! The next party they are trying to earn is a super hero party, using the invisible ink pens. I can't wait to sneak some fun sight word, and number games in with those pens. It is going to be great!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Meehan

  • Super Supplies for Super Kids!

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

My students were so excited when the packages came with all of the school supplies! Seeing it all new and in boxes really helped them understand what a gift you have given us and has helped them be very responsible with the materials, so we don't waste them.

We use these school supplies in many ways. One special way we used the laminating pouches was to find fall leaves outside and them make a picture of an animal with them and write about it. Then we laminated our work and displayed them in the hallway.

We also use the construction paper and markers for many things. We used them to make greater than, less than alligators in math, and we used them to make a sight word apple tree memory match game.

My students love using the dry erase markers for extra handwriting practice on their names, numbers and letters.

The large tubs of Playdoh have been so much fun to play with at center time and a valuable material in helping us make sight words,

Your generous donation will continue to inspire all of our art projects and fun learning through out the year. Thank you very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Meehan

  • Creative Kindergarteners!

    Funded Aug 23, 2018

My students and I are forever thankful for all the valuable materials you have donated to our classroom. We use the giant post it paper daily at the easel writing center. We use the printer paper for worksheets and also recently made travel brochures to Costa Rica. We love painting on the white construction paper. We made beautiful fall trees! We color daily with our markers. The Playdoh is used for fun and learning at our ABC center. The dry erase markers have been very valuable in helping us learn to write our sight words.

My students were very excited when we got the boxes. We opened them together. They had never seen so much Playdoh and markers in one box.

Next we are going to be using the laminating pouches to laminate our student of the week interviews and make a class book for the library. We will also be using the post it paper to make number posters for the numbers 0 to 10.

Thank you very much for all you have given to my students and I. We will be using these materials to help us learn all year long.”

  • Supplies for my Crafty Kids!

    Funded Aug 21, 2017

My students and I were very excited to receive all of the wonderful brand new classroom materials.

Thank you so much for your generous donations. We use all of the materials on a daily basis. The students love all of the jumbo glue sticks, markers, and playdoh to make their classroom work beautiful.

I use the laminating pouches all the time to laminate directions for work stations. I also used the sharpie markers to help make an interactive light table counting activity. We use the construction paper for many crafty projects, including haunted houses and sorts.

My classroom would truly be lacking in creativity if we did not have these materials to help express our thoughts and ideas.

Next, we will be using the paint to create Thanksgiving turkeys and fall trees.

Your donations will help us learn all year round and many of the materials will carry over into my classroom next year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Meehan

  • Reading Ready Kindergarteners!

    Funded Oct 12, 2015

Thanks again so much for all of the Jolly Phonics materials and the silly putty. These materials really helped make my library center and light table more engaging. The students were so excited to use the Hot Dot pens with the sound cards at the library center. I was even able to differentiate the center, with the different boxes, based on skill level. Not one time, did I have to tell my students to get back to work at the library when they were using the Jolly phonics hot dot pens and cards, or books. They love it! It really has helped reinforce what we are learning. Their reading test scores have improved drastically. The silly putty was a big hit. Not only was it fun to dig out letters at the light table, but it also helps a lot with their fine motor skills. You are very generous. Thanks so much!”

  • ELMO Needed! (And We Don't Mean The One From Sesame Street)

    Funded Aug 7, 2014

Thank you so much for the LED projector and ELMO! My kindergarten students were able to start the year using these resources that were donated. When I told them that your company donated these very expensive tools, even though you don't know them, just because you care about their education, they were flabbergasted! These are students that don't have a lot of expensive material things, and the smiles on their faces were priceless! This was another way to show them that they are important and what we do here is so important, and even strangers want to help them achieve your learning goals.

We use these the projector and ELMO multiple times, every day, in every subject area. It has really rejuvenated my teaching and kept the students engaged and excited to learn. Everyday during phonics time, we use the projector to watch clay animation videos that I have created to teach the abc's and other phonics skills. We also use the ELMO daily to read our poem of the week, and do close reading. In math we watch engaging songs and videos on all the math skills we are learning. In science we can watch our science program's DVD movies on the big screen and participate in awesome class discussions about what we saw.

My teaching is completely enhanced, because of these tools, which should be in every classroom! One of the most important ways they have boosted my students' learning, is in math. When I use the ELMO to model math games and activities to the class, they can follow my step-by-step directions so much better than in years from the past. Then they are really practicing the skills I want them to and it has shown in their math assessments. My students are also learning more, because these tools make any lesson more engaging and when you are engaged you learn. I can not express my gratitude enough! This has motivated me to pursue using technology in other ways too. I am in the process of getting my principal to get me a Smart Board.”

  • Kindergarten Kids in Need of a Cozy Classroom Rug!

    Funded Aug 11, 2012

Thank you for your generous donations! The new rug is a huge success!! My kindergarteners love it!! It is much more comfortable and larger than our old rug. There is room for all of our classroom rug needs! Already we have enjoyed reading, singing, playing blocks and sharing our work on the rug. It really has helped create a cozy welcoming environment in my classroom.

The day it arrived was so exciting for the children! I explained to the children, that people they don't know donated this rug to us, because they know our classroom is a special place and we have important work to do. I really think it made them realize our classroom learning is very important and that what they do everyday in kindergarten really matters.

Your donation will continue to make an impact in my classroom for years to come. Thanks again for all of your support and generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Meehan

  • Please help me incorporate technology into my classroom.

    Funded Sep 14, 2005

Thank you so much for choosing to donate the computer and printer to my classroom. I cannot believe what a blessing this will be to my students. Now with two functioning computers and a printer we can do a lot of exciting projects and I will be able to integrate technology into my classroom. Thank you very very much. I will be sending you thank you notes and pictures of all of the exciting things we use your donations for.
