Vocabulary in Context and Informational Text workbooks can be used with my students to enhance their overall vocabulary, reading and listening comprehension skills. These resources are directly tied to age specific core curriculum, so there will be focused vocabulary and informational texts to help kids in their social studies, science and reading in their regular classrooms. By using these resources, there will be a direct benefit in both speech therapy and the general classroom. I think my students will love to utilize and learn from materials that are not only relevant in the speech therapy setting but in the classroom setting as well. The ultimate goal is to work in synchronicity and bridge what is learned in speech therapy for easier carryover and fostering learning in the child's classroom setting!
