Remote Learning With a View
Funded Dec 7, 2020Thank you so much for your contribution towards the funding of the document camera! Your generosity has greatly improved my lesson delivery. I can now use the document camera to write in real time while both the in-person and virtual students view my writing.
The document camera has been a wonderful contribution to my Language Arts class, and has brought about some much needed enthusiasm to my writing lessons. The students are able to hear me think out loud, while I am generating and writing ideas. The students often contribute to brainstorming sessions and love to see their ideas written down as well.
The document camera has also been very helpful because I am able to show the virtual students objects or writing samples in a more clear fashion than holding it up to the laptop camera. The document camera is a great tool, especially when it comes to improving a written composition. The students provide their input and I write down their examples. The students then examine each idea and we get to decide which idea flows best or is relevant to the composition.
My students and I appreciate your thoughtfulness and we are so pleased that you chose our class to give to. You made us feel extra special. Thank you so much!”

Webcam for Distance Learning
Funded Nov 12, 2020Thank you so much for making this project possible for my 5th grade students. On the day the webcam and headset arrived, my students and I were so eager to connect the technology and get everything set up. Once we had everything up and running, you should have seen how excited my virtual students were to actually get a good view of me and our classroom.
When I initially used the camera, my virtual students were extremely happy to see how clear the image was. They were so used to seeing me through the damaged camera lens on my laptop. I can now make screencast videos for my students to view during their asynchronous learning time. This helps my students greatly because now they can go back and review the recorded lessons, if they need to. It is unbelievable how much this webcam has changed my lessons. My students and I are now linked and they can really focus on my lessons, rather than the poor image quality.
The wireless headset is a game changer, especially in a hybrid classroom. The mobility this headset allows me has truly changed how I teach. I am now able to walk over to help one student and continue teaching at the same time. The sound quality is excellent. For those days I have to teach at home, the noise cancelling feature eliminates all the background noises of my household. You have made a tremendous impact on how my lessons are delivered and received during virtual learning. I am thankful for your contribution to this project and appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness.”

Funded Sep 17, 2020My students and I are so thankful for your giving spirit! They just love reading the Time for Kids magazines and get excited when the publication arrives. They look forward to reading and learning about today's current events. It pleases me to see the children so interested in something they are reading!
Time for Kids is truly amazing for children! The magazine covers so many different and enriching topics that explains the world around them. They can learn so much more about global issues thanks to your generosity. My students' favorite article, that is featured in the weekly magazine is called, Incredible Kids. They love reading and learning about the achievements these children have made. These children inspire my students to do better and make a difference in their communities. What a way to connect reading to real life!
My students value your contributions and are forever thankful for the impact you have made towards improving their reading experience. We thank you for enriching our classroom. We appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness very much.”

Funded Aug 11, 2020Wow! What an amazing impact you have made on my students! They truly are so thankful for your giving spirit! They look forward to the new projects and lessons that are coming their way, and are excited to learn about the U.S. History and grammar topics we will cover this year!
This gift card gives me a chance to purchase lessons that are rich with fun and interactive material! The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card is truly amazing. It can cover so many different and enriching subjects. My students will never be bored! Even from afar, they are able to see, experience, and gain so much more thanks to your generosity. Funded Aug 8, 2020Thank you so much for your donation towards my classroom project, Say What? Now, my learners are able to communicate with me. Not having a microphone can be very frustrating for our students. They want to actively participate in class, but do not have the technology to do so. Your generous contributions have made it possible for the students and I to communicate with each other. The noise canceling headset is wonderful. The children no longer hear the background noises of my household, so the students focus on the lesson.
The children that did not have earphones, or earphones with microphones were very excited to receive them. The students are now able to listen to the lessons, participate, and ask for clarification about their assignments. Communication is key, especially during virtual learning. My learners are especially happy to have the ability to express any concerns or comment on what they are learning about. Thanks, for giving them that opportunity.
One of my students, Tracy, told me, "Now, I feel like I am part of the class." Your contribution made a significant difference in how my students are learning and engaging during virtual classes. Now, Tracy is one of my most active and engaged online learners. My students and I are very thankful for the earbuds.”

Funded Aug 22, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations that have funded the Lunch Bunch Project. My fifth grade students have been impacted by your donations in a very positive way. We are using the games during our lunch time. The students with good behavior are invited to attend the Lunch Bunch, which is located in my classroom once a week on Wednesdays. Well, it was originally to be held once a week, but it has been such a huge success the students have asked if we can have the Lunch Bunch twice a week. Wednesdays are dedicated to the students in my homeroom and Thursdays are dedicated to the students in my first through third periods.
Students that were behavior problems in the past are working hard on their positive interactions with their peers and teachers, so they can attend the Lunch Bunch. I am so proud of my students! It is great to see the students practice good sportsmanship with their peers.
When the games first arrived, my students were so excited and they could not wait to start playing. I would say that the board games are a big hit! I was surprised to learn that most of the students had not experienced playing board games prior to playing during the Lunch Bunch. Once the students learned how to play, they began teaching their peers to play. The students have asked that we invite the fourth graders over one day to play, so they can see how great behavior is rewarded. I think that is a great idea and plan to do so right before the Winter Break.
Once again, many thanks for encouraging my students to interact in a positive manner with their peers and adults.”
