My school is located in a low economic neighborhood. Students have little to no interaction with educational technology. When my students see what I can do with my iPad and the math apps that I use on the projector, they are amazed and in awe. My students all wish they were able to do it themselves. I use my own personal iPad for 24 students to share, which is obviously not that efficient. When a student is able to use my iPad for math intervention while I meet with another student or small group, I am able to reach one more student with the iPad. With additional iPads, it would be like I am able to run two small intervention groups at the same time.
