Clutter Free Is the Way to Be!
Funded Aug 15, 2023Words cannot describe how amazing it feels to be supported by so many people. The start of the school year is always exciting. Getting this project funded makes it even better!
The new bookshelves and baskets are a perfect fit in our classroom. There are normally books stacked up on the top of counters, and now they are neatly displayed in beautiful aqua book baskets on crisp white shelves. We've used the label maker to create neat number labels for our closets. This way we know exactly where to hang our coats and backpacks. The supply closet also got clearly labeled. Now we know where to put our supplies back after we use them.
Thank you to everyone that donated to our project. We are ready to take on this school year and stay organized!”

Funded Sep 17, 2022Thank you! We are enjoying our new bookshelves and book baskets. The shelves fit perfectly under our white board. One student told me, "These are best shelves ever! Now we can spread out and see our books easier." Another student said, "The books are so organized and our library looks awesome!"
It took us a few days to get all the shelves put together. But once they were all assembled and arranged in our room with book baskets, the class was so excited! "Wow! Cool! This is great!" is what I heard from my students. We also love our peg hooks and shelves for our pegboard above our sink. We now have a designated space for wipes, tissues, baggies, hand sanitizer, and soap. This also helps me with our classroom jobs and staying organized. There is no question about where the tissues are or the wipes. All of my students know exactly where to get what is needed. We also LOVE our new easel. This one is sleek and easily moveable. We can use it at our meeting area, or wheel it to work in a small group at our tables. The height is also adjustable, so we can use it while sitting on the floor in a small group. The easel is also magnetic. We are able to use it with magnetic letters when we are working on our phonics lessons.
We want to thank each one of you for contributing to our organizational efforts in 2nd grade! The items you helped purchase have made a positive difference in how our classroom operates. We are organized and ready for learning! Stay tuned for more projects to come...maybe some new books for those new baskets and shelves!”

I Rekenrek You Know a lot about Math!
Funded Jan 25, 2018How can I thank you enough?! Our new math tools have helped us in many ways. We use them in warm-up, whole group, small group, 1:1, and during center time. My students have even asked to use the manipulatives during free choice! Having the large teacher rekenrek has helped my visual learners.
I feel so blessed to have had this project funded. Your generosity has allowed my students to see that people care about their learning needs and want the best for them. We are all very grateful!”

Funded Aug 25, 2016Dear Donors,
How can I thank you enough?! Our new huge classroom carpet is amazing! Our whole class fits on it and it's perfect for small group instruction. When the students have independent reading, they all want to go to the carpet and get comfy while they read. The Time for Kids news magazine for children has been a source of numerous class discussions, writing topics, and class projects. The students especially like the debate section. With the election being a huge news story, the students have been extremely interested in stories about the candidates and the voting process. We are anxiously awaiting the issue about the actual election. We also are loving the organizer. I may love it more than my students! It has allowed me to fill it with everything they need for Writer's Workshop. It houses their writing folders, several paper choices, and rubrics. When the students need any of those items, they know exactly where to look.
I feel so blessed to have had this project funded. Your generosity has allowed my students to see that people care about their learning needs and want the best for them. We are all very grateful!”

Funded Dec 9, 2014Words cannot express my gratitude to each and every one of you that donated to Write on 4th Grade! Without your contribution, my students wouldn't have been as successful in writing this year. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. One of my students said, "Wow! People donated money for our class? They don't even know us." So my students say thank you as well.
My students are enjoying using the document camera to show off their writing. We also use the camera for math, science, and social studies. Our new writing program calls for the students to be in control of their own writing. The colored line paper and marking pens helps us with this task. I use the chart paper to create large posters for my students to refer to whenever needed.
My students are more independent with their work. Having the document camera motivates my students to finish their work so they can show it off to the class under the camera and view it on the large board. They love choose which color paper to put their work on. Who knew colored sheets of lined paper would be such a hit?
Again, thank you for your generosity to me and my students. Big hugs to each of you!”

Funded Sep 5, 2012I cannot express my gratitude to each of you for your generous donation. My classroom is bright and colorful thanks to you! We have been working hard to create amazing classroom projects this past month. It makes learning more powerful to my students.
The scissors, makers, and ink have helped in so many ways. I no longer hear the excuse that a students doesn't have the needed supplies. Each of my students can complete projects and class work on time.
Your donation is greatly appreciated. To you, it may seem like nothing. To my students and myself, it's a gift! Thank you!”

Ready, Set, Play Games!
Funded Mar 26, 2010The students and I want to express our joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to our project, "Ready, Set, Play Games!" It is great to receive support while educating my students. It's difficult, at times, to keep the kids motivated. Having these games gives my students something to look forward to after all of our hard work. The items that you have funded will enable my students to learn about real-life concepts, while having a great time. The games will allow my students to learn how to cooperate and to really think ahead!
I hope to share the games with the other 5th graders as well as my future students. Thank you so much. The students and I have had such fun while playing the games. Little do they know how much learning is also taking place!”

Mrs. Mitchell

Funded Dec 22, 2009I just wanted to thank you for your generous donation, My students and I have been enjoying our new overhead projector! We use it each and everyday. The kids were so excited to get the box, open it up, and set up the overhead. It isn't too often that we are given a brand new piece of equipment.
One of my students has taken pride in setting up the overhead for me each time I need to use it. He pulls down the screen, plugs in the overhead, adjusts the light, and puts on a new film to write on. When he is absent, I have several kids lined up to help! The children also enjoy coming up to the new overhead and completing problems, playing games, and teaching the class. We recently learned about skin care in Science class. The children were assigned a section in our textbook and had to create an overhead film of their section so they could "teach" the class. Not only were the kids excited about using a piece of film and markers, but they couldn't wait to come to the overhead and be the teacher. Their notes were outstanding. Very creative and on the students' levels.
Again, thank you for making my classroom just a bit more easy to teach and whole lot more fun. You should feel proud of yourselves for donating to such a wonderful cause! Thank you!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Mitchell

Funded Oct 7, 2009I am so appreciative to have other adults value education as much as I do. Your generosity was greatly appreciated. The printer that was donated to my classroom has made a huge impact on our classroom. We have been able to create wonderful projects and newsletters. We are currently working on Class President posters. I have been able to print out pictures and great lessons from web sites. Our printer even allows copies to be made as well as scan items into the computer!
Our school is a wonderful place to learn. Having this printer allows my students to see how fun, easy, and exciting the computer can be. My class does not get to use either of the two computer labs in our school. By having this printer, we are able to see our projects come full circle. This printer is such wonderful gift. I am truly blessed and grateful that you help my class reach their success.
All of the students tell me how much they love our printer! I have to admit, that I do too. Thank you!”
