  • Put Smiles on my Students' Faces!

    Funded Jan 14, 2024

My students and I cannot express enough the impact of your generosity. I have been an art teacher for 18 years and Donors Choose and all their wonderful staff and generous donors have supported my art classroom for 16 of those years! There are always shortages in materials for the projects we do. If it weren't for the donors many of those projects would not come to fruition.

The materials you have generously donated supple the entire school with art . Thanks to all of you all my students get to participate in the annual culminating Art Show. Families and local officials are invited to share in the gloryof my students achievements. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. ANASA

  • I Can Make Beautiful Works of Art !

    Funded Jan 20, 2022

It has been a difficult two years and thanks to your donations my students have been able to express themselves in their artwork. The entire school is benefitting from these art materials, we use these materials every day. Sharpie permanent markers are an amazing material to use. They color so beautifully, some of my students prefer them to regular color markers.

We have made many fun projects including the thank you cards for you. Markers are an easy medium to work with, sometimes paints are too messy and can't achieve the fine detail effects. The sharpies Markers are also great to use with watercolor paints since they don't smudge and bleed when you add water. Thank you so much for your generous donations my students and I can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. ANASA

  • Basic Art Supplies for Special Kids!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

It was a thrill to receive all the wonderful art materials. I had my students assist in opening the boxes. There were a lot of ooos and ahhhs ! They couldn't believe the materials were a gift for them. They were so excited to start making their works of art with the new materials.

The materials are benefiting all the students in the school, so this generous gift is touching a lot of lives. I have been an art teacher for 15 years and donors have been supplying my art room for all of them! Thank you from our hearts!”

  • Art Class During COVID-19

    Funded Apr 2, 2021

It has been a very difficult year for our students this past school year. Our students did not go room to room for specials, instead all the cluster teachers went room to room. I being an art teacher we were very limited in materials and supplies, they did not have the art room to experience art as they were used to. Each student had to have their own supplies- no sharing allowed.

Thanks to all of you generous donors I was able to give Individual art materials to each ad every student who attended school in person. Our students were able to participate and benefit from art class. I was able to get enough supplies to share with 70 plus students, witch they have for this school year as well! We cannot thank you enough!”

  • Art Supplies During Covid-19

    Funded Dec 12, 2020

You have made and impact on my student lives. Getting all these essential art materials will make art an experience of discovery and achievement. The whole school has art class and will benefit from these materials, for the rest of the school year and during summer school. When I told my students about my grant and the generous donors they couldn't wait to start creating Thank You cards and beautiful art work to share with you, the donors. We have been having so much fun building up self-esteem and exploring our feelings, thank you for giving us the opportunity to do so!”

    With gratitude,

  • Art Supplies For Kids in Need.

    Funded Oct 27, 2020

Thank you so much with all our hearts! because of your generous donations we have been able to continue to learn and grow in art class. Safety is a priority and we have been able to social distance and not share art materials. Each of my students has their own set of art materials to keep in their desk and use for art class. I teach art to the whole school so having enough materials for each individual student was not an easy task.It has been a difficult year and it is reassuring to know so many kind and generous people are out there willing to help my students in need.Thank you again.”

I cannot describe how much of an impact the art materials you have generously donated to our school has meant to our students. We have been able to continue t make beautiful art creations and learn about various visual artists. The materials have been given out to each of my students so that they may stay safe by not sharing. Safety has been the most important practice above all else. With your assistance we have been able to social distance, not hare art materials and still partake in art class. • Art During Covid-19

    Funded Oct 10, 2020

I can't thank you enough for your generous donations! Because of your generosity I was able to give each of my students their own art supplies since we are no longer allowed to share. We have been making beautiful works of art and having fun expressing ourselves and sharing. Things have been so different this school year it is nice to have something feel normal! I can't tell you what an impact you have made on my students, their faces glowing as I was unpacking the amazing art supplies. We have been learning about artists, drawing and painting. Thank you once again, May God bless all of you!”

  • Art at Home!

    Funded May 5, 2020

During these difficult covid times it has been a challenge teaching remote-online especially Art. The first and largest hurdle I encountered was art materials. Manu of my students had nothing at home. When we were physically in school I provided all the materials in my classroom. My students being quarantined was a completely different story. Many did not have any art materials or money to purchase them. Many of their parents were out of work and the last thing on their list were markers and crayons. They barely had enough money to provide food for their children.

I had the idea of sending basic supplies of color markers, pencils and drawing paper to my students that really did not have any. Some of my students were drawing in lined notebooks or paper bags during my remote art classes. In my grant I requested markers, color pencils and copy paper. I also requested large manila envelopes for mailing. I wanted to buy as much as I could for as little cost as possible. My grant was generously funded by all of you. The next step I asked the teachers to give me names and addresses of the students who didn't have art materials. Using my own money for postage I mailed out over 30 packets to my students.

The art that came fro all of this is remarkable. I was flooded with amazing art work and thank you emails!! We are so grateful to all of you, you have made a difference in these students lives!”

  • Art For Special Kids!

    Funded May 30, 2016

    Dear Donors,

I can not tell you how excited my students were once i announced that we won. You could hear the cheers and clapping throughout the school because the entire student population is benefitting from these materials! we always need art materials since i teach the entire school art. It is so wonderful to receive these gifts from you. Most of these materials will be used throughout the school year!

We have already used a lot of materials to create art for our school art show. Those same art projects were exhibited in a real art gallery for the entire month of July. The kind people of The National Art League give us their gallery every summer free of charge. I schedule an exhibit to go see their work and celebrate. Thanks to your kind and generous donations all this is possible!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ”
