  • Everyday Essentials

    Funded Feb 16, 2025

My class is using the materials you have provided for us everyday! We especially love the new sturdy stools with the lifetime warranty!

The two stools came fully assembled and we were so excited when we opened the very big box! They are a world of difference from the 8 other stools we still have at our group table. We love them so much, have written another choose to replace the rest of our wobbly stools as well.

The white board pens are used daily in many activities and for varying subjects.

Mrs. Steele's bunch sends a heartfelt thank you!”

  • Classroom Seating

    Funded Sep 22, 2023

The positive impact your generous donation has had on my students is exciting!

The colorful new rug allows kids to sit closer to the projection screen for our group lessons. Many lessons now involve the use of technology and the projection of things onto the big screen. We can now gather closer and interact with the lesson without some students being too far away to see these things.

The colorful stools for my reading table replace old plastic chairs that have seen much better days! The kids love the rainbow of new stool colors too!

Thank you for helping us grow our brains in first grade!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Steele

  • Engaging the Reluctant Reader!

    Funded Oct 18, 2022

Mrs. Steele's Bunch is reading up a storm thanks to your generosity! The excitement about the new book collections has my kids literally jumping for joy! All of my students could barely wait until I had unpacked the boxes and labeled the books!

We have collections of books for a variety of interests and pairs of books that my first-grade students can read with their big fifth-grade buddies.

Some of the most sought-after books are Dogman, Captain Underpants, Owl Diaries, Who Would Win, and Elephant and Piggie. We have them organized in book tubs for kids to share in table groups.

Now we don't have to wait until Library day to see if some of the most popular books will be available. They are always available in our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Steele

  • Help us grow our brains with STEM

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

The STEM materials you have donated for our class are amazing! The microscope, magnifying glasses, and fossil collections are big hits! As are the falling dominoes and puzzles.

The students are clamoring to use them every single day. Their innovative and curious minds are ever-questioning and thinking in the realm of who, what, where, why, and when.

When kids think like a scientist, they could be the ones to discover something new!

This outside-of-the-box thinking helps to promote problem-solving that can help society grow and thrive in the future.

Just think, one of these kids may be on a rocket to the moon or helping to design satellites for space in the future!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Steele

  • We Are All Friends

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

The materials from our "We Are All Friends" project have made such a difference in our classroom! Every day is a day we work together to build our classroom community and improve our social-emotional learning. Important life skills like managing emotions, building relationships, and making decisions can sometimes be challenging with a group of 6 to 7-year-olds. With tools to help them better understand how to manage themselves and regulate their emotions, they are better equipped to grow and thrive.

Students love the calming center area with its fidgets and other quiet break materials.

Students constantly utilize the "Talk it out Tub" I have made for them to work through disagreements or hurt feelings between themselves.

These activities have helped them develop their own power to problem solve and be in better control of their emotional state of being.

We hope you enjoy the photos of these activities in action!

    Warmly,

    Mrs. Steele”

  • Inspired Learning With Technology- Safe Guarding Equipment

    Funded Oct 30, 2014

My students are very excited about our new technology cart! They love the pretty blue color, side baskets and nice rolling wheels. They find the look appealing, but I appreciate the fact that it has a locking drawer to keep our ipad safe and secure! This is a real time saver for our entire class because we can leave the equipment hooked up between uses. With the new focus on technology, we use the projector at least twice, maybe three times daily. This cart makes our transitions between subjects MUCH easier, as I don't have to bumble around trying to hook things up while eager and very energetic learners are waiting!

My First Grade group of smart, future leaders thanks you greatly!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Steele

  • Engage Learners Through Technology

    Funded Oct 29, 2013

The kids in our class can't thank you enough for the wonderful contribution to our daily education. We have been using the new technology for the entire class! We have a quick and easy way to access the information on the Internet and view the video clips referenced in the new curriculum.

The whole class can follow along now when we display the e readers. The quality of the picture display is outstanding!

Individual students are also able to use the ipad for enrichment and practice opportunities that help build skills for success.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Steele

In my school district located in Oregon, technology plays a significant role in the implementation of our new integrated curriculum. Teachers access an online platform where the curriculum is housed. Student lessons, practice drills, ebooks and animated lessons are projected onto a screen via a projector. My 1st graders need to be captivated by learning! This will ignite a spark that will fuel their future learning.
