The students come from a Title 1 dual immersion school with majority learning English as a second language. Coming from many different backgrounds, the goal is still the same for all, learning and applying the skills needed to succeed in the work world. I want my students to not just master content but also career readiness skills so that they can thrive in our tech driven world. Many of the students that come to our dual immersion school want to be fluent in English and Spanish. So while science class is not taught in two languages, the goal is to expose them to computer language. They are passionate in their interests so by letting them see more possibilities, they can acquire new interests. As a school we promote equitable access. All students should leave with the skills they need to succeed with every opportunity.
