You have no idea how much you have helped- now we do not have to "beg, borrow and steal" just to do a simple lab. Nearly all of my special needs students have an Iep modification/ support stating explicitly that they should be provided with calculators and now I will be able to actually follow this very necessary accomodation. Superstar Readers Theatre
Funded Jan 9, 2012The materials you donated have motivated my early readers to practice reading skills and develop an appreciation for theater. We have acted out plays from the book series using puppets and the mini-stage.Students have also used the stage, puppets, and reading to re-enact historical events and sing/read historically relevant songs and poems (e.g., Midnight Ride of Paul Revere) in social studies class. We plan to use the geography books for our next project on world cities. Thank you for your generosity.”

Math Dance Party Part 1
Funded Mar 28, 2008I was so pleased to find this approval for the math dance party today! It was such a weird coincidence because literally a couple of hours ago, I had been talking to someone over the phone about potentially hiring a grant writer to help me get funds. This kind donation has given me the confidence to continue with my own writing and I will certainly add to my project before trying to hire anyone!! This is going to be so much fun!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm so happy to have a chance to implement dance into my lessons. While I have many that are great dancers, I have one student who is an incredible dancer!!! We will record our math dance party lessons and you can guess which one he is (I have three different classes, he is the best out of all!). Thank you so much. Please be assured that your contribution is going to effectively enhance the student learning process and make it so much fun. THANKS! I'm so excited to this and am so grateful to your organization for its generosity. If I recieve the materials within a week, the lesson is likely to be on integers; however, as I am a special educator its likely we will do basic math lessons as often as possible as these really need the reinforcement. I know this method is effective, I have already used creative movement in my teaching but this generous gift will allow me to show some proof of it. THANKS SO SO SO SO MUCH.
