My wife and I (we teach in the gym together) often tell our students how amazing they are and how proud we are of their efforts in our classroom. Over 70% of our students are eligible to receive free lunch. They range from 7 to 11 years of age and many come from difficult home situations. High levels of screen time and decreased levels of physical activity are causing a growing number of our students to become overweight and/or obese.
