My students come from many different backgrounds and ability levels, however the vast majority are classified as "high need" and "under performing". Our sixth graders have all been given devices from the school district, however the 7th and 8th graders are often in classrooms with only one computer for 30-35 students. This generation has been exposed to technology since they were very young, and many connect more easily to technology than to the "sage on the stage" model of teaching we were brought up with.
