My school has a diverse, urban population in Southwest Ohio with 100% of the student population being economically disadvantaged. Due to the limited resources, students struggle with science. Students are naturally curious; however with the push for better scores in the area reading and math, science has been pushed to the side. My students are excited about science. My classes contain students with disabilities as wells gifted students. My students are taught science by using lessons that mentally engage the students with an event or question.
