Exploring Social-Emotional Leaning Through Art
Funded Jan 20, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to my Kindergarten classroom. As you can see in the photos the students had a wonderful time creating their artwork. The lesson was to use different types of material to create an image of yourself. This lesson was then connected to stories about how we all have different strengths. Students wrote about what they can do best and shared it with the class. It was amazing to watch each student shine with both art and writing. Thank you again for being a part of my student's learning!”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares.Rub-a-dub-dub Hands in Learning Tubs!
Funded Oct 27, 2016It was like Christmas in October when my students saw the boxes of new activities roll into the classroom for our explorer tubs. It is hard to say which one is their favorite. However from a teaching prospective the Letter Construction kit is amazing. It meets so many different learning styles and individual needs. Students can follow the direction cards to build one letter at a time or challenge themselves to spell words.
Explore tubs are a daily event in our classroom. Giving students time to be creative, develop their imagination, and problem solve are all benefits of using these tubs. When developing these tubs my original intention was to use them each day as students walk into the classroom before the school day started. However they just can't get enough of them. Whenever there is an indoor recess their first activity they ask for is Explore Tubs! Every few weeks I change the objective of the tubs using the material generously donated to your classroom keeping the tubs fresh and exciting. Starting in January students will use the Helping Hands Fine Motor Tools set to pick up cotton balls to match a number on a snowman. They will also be using the Mega Tiles to build 3-D shapes.
I would like to thank you for the charitable donation to our Kindergarten classroom. It will make a difference for years to come.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Callaway
