These materials that you would generously donate would help my students to have new PE equipment to replace damaged and old ones. Some of the equipment that my students are using currently are 10 to 15 years old! Most of the volleyball, soccer, and tennis balls are worn down and are losing it's ability to hold air. The hitting tees that the students use to learn how to hit a ball for baseball and softball are badly damaged. The constant hitting of the tees (because the students are learning to hit, their aim to hit the ball off of the tee is often not accurate so they end up hitting the tees with the bats) has created damage to the tips of the tees and to the base of the tees. I have ducked taped the tips and bases back to their original positions but this is only a temporary fix. After a few days of learning hitting, the tips and bases come off again and I have to duct tape the tees again. I also want to continue to promote to my students a curriculum of healthy nutrition, daily exercise, and introducing new sports and activities that the students might not have participated in previously. Furthermore, during these pandemic times, our students need to be socializing and participating more in outdoor activities so that the student's mental health does not suffer any more than it already has.
