I teach advanced 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English Language Arts, English I, English II, and Speach and Debate. After school hours, I coach the school archery team and oversee the yearbook staff. These students come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, native languages, and academic and social abilities. They are a mix of boys and girls from 6th grade through 8th grade. Some are very outgoing, while many are still finding their voice. Regardless of all of these differences, they have many things in common. They are curious, they want to learn, they want to participate, and they want to be a part of something larger than themselves. These students are our future. I want to expose them to as many ideas and experiences as I can to help foster their academic and social growth, and encourage them to keep being curious about the world around them.
