My 1st graders are just beginning their adventure in education. I have students who have never been to school, having skipped Kindergarten as it is not mandatory for school until age 6. These children have very little exposure to a community beyond their own front door. We walk to the county library each month and look for local businesses to visit to provide their connection to an outside world. Literature, technology, art, guest speakers, and community events will help my students to begin their understanding of the new world of which they are about to become a part. Thank you for considering us as a recipient of your support.
