  • Gettin' Dicey

    Funded Aug 30, 2017

Thank you so much for funding this grant. Your generosity made this grant possible, and will help my 7th grade students learn and apply skills in multiple units of instruction with dice. This hands on learning will excite my students and energize our classroom. Without your help, this would not be possible. Thanks!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Keech

  • Geometry Gamification: Electrify Geometry Standards through Games

    Funded Aug 15, 2017

Thank you so much for funding my geometry gaming grant. This allows my students to apply geometry concepts within challenging games that further their understanding. Geometry standards require active, hands on learning to completely master learning objectives, and games make this learning something students look forward to. Your contributions will make a huge difference in making math come alive!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Keech

  • Hands-on Coordinate Graphing

    Funded Jun 5, 2017

I am incredibly appreciative of your choice to help support this project for my classroom. Your generosity is appreciated and this project will increase student mastery of coordinate graphing, with engaging materials.

This project is one of several I am working on to increase student engagement and mathematical discourse, all while focusing on our math standards.

    THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Keech

I teach 7th grade mathematics in a middle school that has a math block consisting of two periods. The increased classtime allows us to include activities, projects, group work, collaborative activities, and hands-on explorations that would otherwise not work in a traditional one period class. Students are participating in activities that engage and promote active learning, deepening their thinking and understanding of mathematics. The extended block of time facilitates a classroom environment that promotes differentiation. Ample time exists for both additional lesson support and challenge activities, meeting the needs of all learners. With the increased integration of STEM related activities in our units of instruction, more materials and manipulatives are necessary. School budgets are limited, making the funding of math manipulatives such as these difficult.
