Students Stand with Malala
Funded Nov 5, 2015Thank you so much for funding this project. I believe it will make a meaningful impact on over half of the students at my school. We are so grateful! As you can understand, field trips are difficult due to the rising cost of buses and a lack of funding in schools - having partners like you - who are interested in the lives of each student - in all cities, is an incredible gift. We look forward to the lasting impact that this trip to see the Malala movie will have on each student that is able to view it.”

Document Camera
Funded Nov 5, 2013This project has been posted less than 24 hours and I just can't believe how quickly people jump on board to be a part of what's happening in our little class in Baltimore. I'm just so thankful.
This project is going to make such a difference in my class and I'm so excited to share with my kids about what's next and to see their writing begin to take off and continue to get better. These items will only help them to succeed and be more prepared for the future and I'm excited that we all get to come together and be a part of that.
I can't say thank you enough!!!”

Rug For My 4th Grade Reading Class!
Funded Aug 28, 2013We have had the rug since Monday of this week and it has been incredible! When the rug showed up the kids were so excited. They all wanted to sit there, touch it, talk about how nice it is. Reading time has dramatically changed, instead of everyone being stuck in their desks, we now all gather at the carpet and it has fostered a new type of conversation in the classroom about our books and kids feel more comfortable to share and respond to each other. Another great use is during independent reading time, the kids are cozy and reading and spend more time involved in their reading than being distracted and squirming in their desks. I know it doesn't seem like a big change, but it has truly been transformational to my class. I can't say thank you enough, I know that this will dramatically effect their attitudes toward reading and in turn it will allow for gains in their reading level. Thank you so much for believing in them and joining in with my class!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Barron
