When I saw that my project was fully funded, I cried tears of joy. When I brought the boxes up from the office, my students were so excited to hear that was for our classroom. I still use my reading cart to this day and many of my previous students still visit me and mention the day we received all the "Really Cool" things for our classroom. I am beyond excited that Donors Choose exists today to help out so many caring teachers and children beyond the classroom. I couldn't be happier with everything I received for my classroom to make it a better learning environment.”
My students attend an inner city in New York State and come from a very poor area with little resources. Many families cannot afford to buy school supplies for their child(ren). I work in an inclusion classroom with students who need extra help and usually buy things for them on my own. My students are just wonderful and seeing their smiles every day just makes me grateful that I chose teaching as a profession.
