I am a speech language pathologist (SLP) in an elementary school. I love to come to work each day and see "my kids". They all have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address their current needs in school. As an SLP, when "my kids" come to my room we work on communication skills. Those skills range from being able to say "hello" and "good bye", to articulating certain sounds, to being able to understand vocabulary and information they are read in the classroom, and the list goes on. I love creating fun, engaging new ways for "my kids" to learn about communication. When "my kids" are engaged in learning they are able to generalize the information from my classroom, to their school environment, and to home.
