Thank you so much for helping to give us the supplies we need to finish the year strong. I have many students who need new headphones and crayons. Our white board markers will be a nice surprise! • Heidi Songs: Learning ABCs through Music

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

Thank you for giving my students the gift of learning through song. We use Heidi Songs every single day. We dance and sing along to songs that help us learn our letters/letter sounds, numbers, sight words, and more. We listen to songs called "brain breaks" to help us get our wiggles out in a fun way so we are ready to sit and learn for the next part of our day. I have been using Heidi Songs for a few years now and it is so beneficial for young learners. I hear them singing songs throughout the day to help them remember how to spell words. Thank you for this beneficial program.”

  • Literacy Station Engagement!

    Funded Sep 13, 2024

Thank you for helping my classroom get things that we need to make our Kindergarten classroom enjoyable and organized. My students are going to love looking at a book on a comfy cushion and using spinners to play games that help with letter and number recognition. Your generosity is helping my classroom and students out more than you know. Big thank you!”

  • Construction in Kindergarten

    Funded Mar 12, 2024

My kindergarten students absolutely loved working on their construction unit this year. They were able to construct buildings in the block zone as well as songs and dances in our dance studio. The items given to our classroom put them in the zone to create amazing things. The students made construction zones and put the skills they were learning to work. They loved wearing the vests and construction hats. When they were in the dance studio they were using the pretend microphones to create songs. Our construction unit was a favorite in our classroom and we learned so much during that time.”

  • Kindness in Kindergarten

    Funded Oct 18, 2023

Thank you so much for our kindness pouches. Each student got to deliver one kindness bag to someone else in our school or community. They enjoyed putting them together and hand selecting what should go inside and for whom. Our Kindergarteners also got a chance to get a kindness bag for themselves. They learned a lot about how to help others and started to create their own kindness bag with things that they made, created, or found in nature. Our students are incredible and this project showed just how amazing they are.”

  • Snack Time for All

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you all for helping to give my students snacks this year. I have many students who forget to bring a snack but they did not have to worry this year because I had a bucket they were able to choose from. This allowed my students to not feel singled out or hungry during the day. These snack were appreciated by everyone. I often have to go out and purchase snacks multiple times throughout the year for students who do not bring one from home. This project allowed me to have snacks on hand and not have to worry about getting to the store or telling them that there wasn't any snacks available. Students learn better when their basic needs are met.”

  • Heidi Songs to Learn and Move!

    Funded May 8, 2023

Thank you for giving us a year of dancing, fun, and memories. We have listened to Heidi songs each and every day this school year. It has helped us learn and remember our numbers, letters, and gave us some fun brain breaks. This is a way to reach learners who may remember things better with song and dance.

As the year progressed we also used Heidi songs to learn sight words. I would often hear my students singing the song to help them remember how to write a word for their story. My students always looked forward to this time during our morning meeting and I hope to continue to be able to use Heidi Songs for years to come.”

Very few of my students have access to technology at home and rely on the school to give them that kind of exposure. All of my students receive free lunch. We live in a very rural community without access to a lot of services. These materials will make a world of difference for these students.
