The Better to Hear You With!
Funded Feb 28, 2017I am so thrilled that you brought headphones to my students! After a catastrophe that left us with no working headphones I was panicked. My students were unable to hear the interactive program that is mandated by the district. When my students were on computers you could hear everyone's at once. It was a noisy nightmare! Thankfully, you came to our rescue! I was so relieved to hear that now every student would have their own pair to use at the same time. This was a true miracle! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you saving our ears! We finished the year with a bang thanks to your wonderful support!”

Daily Supplies for Super Hero Students!
Funded Feb 28, 2017I have so much thanks in my heart for your contribution to my students and my classroom. It is so daunting as a teacher to try and keep up with providing those basic items my students consume quickly but need to be successful. In the case of my students, they simply have nothing. Financially their parents can't help them. They are are so grateful to have people who love and support them that they don't even know! They talk often about the gratitude that they have for the angels that send us class supplies. We ended the year quite successfully and we couldn't have done it without you! Thank you so SO much.”

Charge and Store our Chromebooks
Funded Feb 28, 2017Thank you so much for our laptop cart! It has truly been a godsend. I am so thrilled to have this in my room because it means for the first time our technology is safely stored and ready for class each day. The security of our Chromebooks was a huge issue before the addition of this miracle to our classroom. My room was hazardous as you had to hurdle extension cords and run to a plug to make sure your computer didn't die while you were in the middle of your activity. To tell you that your donation made a big difference would be an understatement. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for believing in my students and investing in their futures!”

A Cut Above Other Projects
Funded Apr 7, 2017I can't tell you how exciting it was to see my students open these packages with all the materials they needed for our final IB projects. My kids lit up when they saw the Cricut materials that will allow them to embellish their project presentation boards! My girls squealed when they saw the decorative scissors that will allow them to cut paper in fancy designs rather than just the traditional straight lines. Our end of the year projects are the capstone for 5th grade students in the IB program and it is a huge deal for the kids. Thank you so much for helping my kids in this final elementary project. We are just getting started on it, but thanks to you we're off to an excellent start! We couldn't pull it off with the support of a village!”

Ink for our Class Printer!
Funded Feb 17, 2017Thank you for sending black and colored printer ink to my students and I! We are so thrilled to be able to have access to printing in our room again. It is so easy to take things like printed materials for granted. My kids have been able to play colorful games, use brightly colored task cards, print pictures and documents they've typed, and more thanks to your generous donation! It seems like a simple request, but these items make such a huge difference in our class each day. I couldn't have provided this for my students without your help. Thank you so much for investing in our learning!”

Technology for 5th Grade Superheroes!
Funded Dec 20, 2016I am so appreciative of your donation to my students! We are loving the technology you have provided for us and we are using it in class every day! Fifth graders must take their high-accountability state tests on computers in Florida, and it can be very intimidating to students who haven't had a lot of experience or opportunity with using computers. Thanks to your gift, I have seen my students building their confidence in navigating computer functions, math skills, typing and entering responses, researching, and more! Thanks again for this invaluable experience you have given my kiddos.”

5th Graders Going Pro!
Funded Apr 28, 2017Thank you so much for investing in this project! I am thrilled that my kids will have this for our end of year activities- especially for their final projects!! This will provide one of those amazing opportunities for my kids where they will actually get to see for themselves just how much they've grown as learners this year! I couldn't have given them this without your help. Thank you so much for believing in my students' and contributing to their education!”

Chromebooks for Test Prep
Funded Apr 18, 2017I am filled with so much gratitude for your incredible investment in my students. Increasing our access to technology is a profound gift for us, especially when so much of our educational success is built on being computer literate. My kids will be overjoyed to hear the fantastic news about how close we are to reaching our goal. I can't wait to tell them first thing in the morning! From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my eager fifth graders, thank you.”

Practical and Pretty Paper
Funded Oct 29, 2016I am so appreciative of the gift you have given to my classroom. I actually cried when this project was funded because it took such a weight off of me and at the same time provided so much for my students. Thank you so much for your generous contribution.
It may sound like such a simple request, but paper is the most foundational supply we use each day. With 75 students using district required daily interactive journals (at a minimum) you can probably imagine that we are going through a lot of paper. When I wrote this project originally, I had no idea just how dire our need for paper would become. My school gave me 1 box of paper at the beginning of the year to last 75 students the first 5 months of school. Even with very strategic rationing this was unrealistic for our needs. I knew there was no way I would be able to limit our paper use to just that. I tried to keep up with our need out of pocket when we ran out but it was financially impossible for me to do for very long. To say that we were desperate was truly an understatement. I am so thankful that angels like you stepped in when you did!
Being in a position where I now have paper for journals every day is such a blessing. My students and I are so thankful that you've helped bring us our most basic of needs. They have taken so much pride in all of our colorful creations! I really can't convey in words how much I love and appreciate you for your investment in my kids and our classroom. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”

5th Grade Superheroes Need Super Computers!
Funded Oct 7, 2016Thank you so much for bringing new laptops to my students! My kiddos were so excited to hear that we are that much closer to reaching our goal of having a one-to-one ratio of computers to students! Thanks to you they will have the exposure to technology they desperately need in order to be prepared for the upcoming high-stakes state tests.
Now, my students have the opportunity on a regular basis to practice typing and assessing online so that they will have the skills to succeed. Better than that, I am watching them build their confidence navigating online formats that completely overwhelmed them not so long ago. It is incredible to watch them learn like sponges with each chance they have to get online.
I am excited to be able to bring class to them in more exciting and relevant ways than ever before also! They beg me to create Kahoots and other interactive online lessons for them to complete in class. I love the competitive nature it brings out in my students. Having reliable technology gives us so many occasions to push ourselves to the max and learn-- often without kids even realizing it! I can't thank you enough for supporting my students and bringing this awesome technology to our fingertips!”
