Most of my students are immigrants from Hispanic countries. Their parents come to the USA looking for a better future. The relocation is hard for them and to make matters worse the limited English they can speak makes them feel helpless. Usually they are an active bunch and very verbal, unfortunately in Spanish. They attend a Title 1 school in an area known for high transitory rates. This instability also affects their learning.
