Imagine trying to learn English, social skills and learning about how to be a great citizen in a busy second grade class! It takes focus, personal space and a whole lotta love and patience. Our class of students with disabilities and English as a new language are striving to achieve all this along with mastering the curriculum. Help me make our class a spectacular learning environment so we can be successful learners. We interact together to build our language and learn from each other but sometimes we need our own quiet space to learn with a peer one on one or just to calm our bodies and minds. The Privacy shields will help define our quiet spaces, as well as assist us in taking assessments without being distracted by others around us. Though we have a small classroom there are many groups and activities going on; using the adjustable easel wall will allow one corner of the class to be designated as a quiet, cool down area because sound and visual stimuli are muted by this movable wall!
