  • Make It a Clean Classroom

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

and the Jackson Federation of Teachers,

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to funding the essential supplies for my classroom—masks, hand sanitizers, and wipes. Your generosity and support mean more than words can express, especially during these challenging times.

These supplies are vital in keeping my students safe, healthy, and ready to learn. They provide peace of mind to families, knowing that we are taking every precaution to ensure their children's well-being. Your contributions have made it possible for us to focus on what truly matters—education—without the added worry of lacking basic necessities for a clean and safe environment.

To the Jackson Federation of Teachers, I want to extend a special thank you for championing the needs of educators and students alike. Your advocacy and commitment to our classrooms make a profound difference, and this generous act is just one more example of the impact you have on our community.

With your help, my students can now focus on their learning in a space where they feel cared for and protected. Please know that your kindness has touched not only me but also every student and family in my classroom.

Thank you for standing with us and for being such an integral part of our school's success.

  • Print Possibilities: Empowering Learning With Every Page

    Funded Dec 25, 2024

I hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of my students and our entire school community, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of a printer to our classroom.

In our low-income school, resources like these can truly make a world of difference. Having access to a reliable printer will allow us to create more engaging and dynamic learning experiences. From printing out colorful visuals for lessons to giving students access to hands-on activities and take-home materials, your generosity will directly enhance their education and make learning more accessible and enjoyable.

Your kindness also sends a powerful message to our students—that there are people who believe in their potential and want to invest in their future. For many of them, this is a source of inspiration and hope, and it reinforces the idea that they can achieve great things when supported by a caring community.

Thank you for believing in us and for being part of our journey. Your support is not only appreciated but also truly impactful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Archie

A MacBook computer and Apple iPad will give my students access to the latest technology to enhance their learning. The computer will be used for two primary reasons. First, it will be used to access quality applications that teach students about financial literacy. A few examples include Green Streets: Unleash the Loot, Renegade Buggies, and Savings Spree. The second use for the computer will be to give students the ability to use assistive technology to better access the curriculum. For example, older students will be able to use Dragon Dictate software to dictate an essay about financial literacy without being hindered by poor writing skills. Additionally, students will be able to use the computer to highlight harder text and have it read aloud. The possibilities are endless for my students with access to this kind of technology.
