Crafting Champions: Donate a Cricut for Softball Jerseys and Gear
Funded Mar 5, 2024I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our generous donors who have contributed to the funding of our project to acquire a Cricut machine for customizing softball jerseys. Your support and generosity have made it possible for us to enhance the experience and pride of our players by providing them with personalized and professional-looking jerseys. Your belief in our project and dedication to our team's success means the world to us, and we are truly grateful for your contribution.
With your generous donations, we can now create unique and customized softball jerseys that will not only boost our team's morale but also foster a sense of unity and identity among our players. Your investment in our project goes beyond just apparel; it symbolizes your belief in our team's potential and the importance of sportsmanship and camaraderie. We are excited to showcase our new jerseys, thanks to your support, and we are confident that they will inspire our players to perform at their best and represent our school with pride. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and generosity.”

Books Books Books!
Funded May 5, 2020We have been completely virtual thus far, and it looks like we will be continuing virtual learning throughout the first semester of school. We are still utilizing your donation, and it has been a HUGE help with class. The new books that you gifted us are being used for "First Chapter Fridays." I send the students a PDF copy of the first chapter, and then I read to them as they participate in the joy of reading. Many of my students look forward to this part every week, and some even go purchase their own copy of the book to finish. When we return to the building, we will continue "First Chapter Fridays," and students will be able to borrow the books you donated from my classroom library.
Thanks again, and I hope you feel comfort in knowing that you have contributed to the happiness of many teenagers during such a difficult time.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 2 other donors.Providing Professional & Frequent Feedback
Funded Jul 13, 2019Both my students and I are so grateful for your donation! The new desk is much larger and safer than the previous table, and it provides a sense of professionalism to our classroom. Before receiving the desk, students and I would try to meet at their individual desks with all of our papers and materials; it was a mess that resulted in things being dropped constantly. Students never wanted to conference at the teacher desk because it gave them splinters and it smelled like mold. But now, thanks to you, we have a wonderful desk with enough counter space for our materials. It also has a clean setting that gives students a chance to sit comfortably and write notes about how to improve their writing, their projects, and their research. It has been such a wonderful addition to our classroom, and we cannot thank you enough!”

Projecting Success
Funded Sep 7, 2018This donation has made a meaningful impact in my classroom; before this donation, the students were working with an old projector that didn't display the images very clearly. Now, the students have a clear image with a remote control so their presentations progress more smoothly. As you can see from the pictures, the image is vibrant and easy to see; this will allow the College Board to view their hard work on their AP Research projects. More than anything, this donation has given the students a feeling of support. They are working to make meaningful change in the world, and your support has given them the resources and confidence to continue. Thank you with all of my heart!”

Tech-Savvy Teacher
Funded Apr 20, 2018I have been using the iPad to display visuals for my students to practice the art of analyzing visual arguments. I have also been using the iPad to plan curriculum for next year and to grade student work at home. Recently, I joined a site called "PeerGrade" that allows me to track my students' writings as well as their feedback to each other. Before, I had to walk around, ask the students to pause and show me what they've done. Now, I can communicate with them from home as their writing and during class I can give them feedback without interrupting them.
Just last week, we analyzed the details and historical references in Childish Gambino's "This Is America." This was such an amazing lesson, and all of my students were engaged. With the help of the iPad, I was able to pause, fast-forward, and zoom in on facial expressions that reference historical events such as Jim Crow, Emmett Till, and mass shootings.
In the future, I am very much looking forward to using the iPad to demonstrate mind mapping and creative note taking. Typically, I create a slide show and the students take notes; now, I can change the tone of the class by adding more creativity to the lessons. The curriculum that I am planning will now involve an interactive notebook and creative note taking as demonstrated on my iPad that wil be projected on the board.”

English Students Get Lit!
Funded Nov 2, 2017Having these Chromebooks has changed my classroom so much; my students are now able to complete their research projects and papers without having to share space with students who are on their lunch periods. They use their Chromebooks every day and are constantly telling me how much easier it is to focus now that they are not stuck in a hot space with students who are eating pizza. Even though I have more students than Chromebooks, they are sharing their the laptops and demonstrating how kind and mature they are with their care and respect for the gift we have been given. My students said that not only are they thankful for the technology, but they are also thankful that people care about them and believe in their futures. We truly are so thankful for this gift!”
