My first grade students were so excited to get to use our new Dash robots!

Our first lessons started by learning more about computer science, coding, and rules about how to treat our robots. Once those were complete, we were ready to get our hands on them! The apps that are included with Dash, walk the kids through step by step different ways that you can program the robots. There were squeals of delight as kids were able to program their robot to move or light up when they clapped! Small groups of students were working together to help each other be successful. Smiles of delight were on faces as children successfully figured out a task that was a little more challenging!

We thank you for bringing coding "to life" and giving us this generous gift! My class, and classes of children to come, will be inspired to do more coding and, because of Dash, may be more curious about computer sciences. My hope is that through our activities with coding and Dash, I can spark enough of an interest in computer science to inspire students to enter this profession.
