  • Writing to Activate Our Voice!

    My students and I were excited and mesmerized as we received these resources. My students jumped up and down and hugged one another. They are appreciative of everything that is given to them. Your act of generosity will always be remembered by my Second Graders. They have learned an invaluable lesson that others care about their education.

    The multiple resources my class has received has assisted them in different aspects of the Writing Workshop experience. The writing journals have helped them to log their daily writing and build exciting stories. My students have used the dry erase markers and slates to help them with word work to implement in their writing. The writing folders helps keep them organized with their several writing pieces. The color bins have kept the classroom organized with different writing papers, markers, pencils and crayons. We have used the easels to conduct lessons in various areas of the room. It has been an exhilarating experience to see my students utilize these tools and to take ownership and pride in their classroom resources.”

    I am absolutely thrilled and humbled that your foundation took the time to consider the needs of my classroom and donated to my project.

    The digital software that you have funded will enable my students to work individually at their own pace with the various interactive software that was purchased. Brain Pop is a great enhancement tool to help facilitate lessons in the classroom. The various tools such as Dream Box and Starmattica will enrich differentiated instruction and allow me to work in even smaller groups as the children work at their own pace using the interactive software. The interactive software programs also support the Common Core Learning Standards which emphasizes the use of technology. The learning in my classroom will be greatly enriched because of your generous support.
