Sensory Needs Please
Funded Dec 1, 2015I want to start by thanking all of you for your generous donations. I was so surprised how quickly we received these products. In only a short time these products have truly helped me to improve my classroom behaviors. My non verbal autistic students are requesting these items during times of frustration. The amount of disruptive incidents is starting to decrease. Even my students parents are asking for info on these products for in home use.
The way these items are being used in students will sit in the bean bag chairs during presentations and read aloud. These chairs seem to provide my students with enough sensory information to satisfy there urge to stand and walk around.
The tent on the other hand is used as a way of helping students calm down during a tantrum or difficult time.
Thank you again
Class Y-20”

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 2 other donors.Learning By Creating
Funded Jan 14, 2014My class is truly enjoying creating different models with the erector set. We have been able to complete the helicopter and create a lesson on how real helicopters fly and why they are important. My students really seemed to enjoy this lesson and by using the erector set they were able to see how helicopters are made from the inside out. Also the digital camera has made catching my students experiences and emotions extremely easy. This device has aloud me to share our classroom projects with other teachers and the students families. Donors choose is a wonderful program . My staff and students are extremely grateful.”

Our Class Needs A Shredder
Funded Sep 25, 2013Your donations have made our classroom a more productive place. The shredder has helped us to minimize the amount of garbage that leaves our school. Also with the fall approaching the students were able to use most of the shredded paper to create our own classroom mascot or scarecrow. His name is Donors Choose the kids loved making him. The last thank you i have to send out is from our class pet Thump-er the rabbit, he has been thrilled with the new shredded paper that lines his cage. This gift has really been a help to my students and our curriculum of recycling and has made for a great workstation. Thank you again Class Y-23 and staff”
