My students are bright, ambitious, and eager learners. I have been extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to teach at an extremely poor Title I school in Chicago. Even though it has become extremely difficult and sometimes frustrating to educate without needed supplies, our students still come to school eager to learn. Our school rarely has extra funding for enriching materials, and if they do, the funds are used for older students. Many of my students' families will never have additional money to purchase educational materials. Therefore, I hope to be able to provide a fun and interesting way of learning so my students can succeed in life! In September my students came into my classroom speaking little to no English. Now my students have blossomed, and to hear English sentences form out of their mouths is the most exciting thing to hear!!!
