Bringing Our Theater into the 21st Century
Funded Dec 16, 2015Dear Donors,
We want to say Thank you to all of you that donated to our project. It was so cool to see something that we worked on and created, come to life. The technology that you provided to us is so cool. It allows us to change the lights in our Auditorium and control the sound with an Ipad. We are now the only school in our School District that has that technology.
Not only are we excited about the technology, but we are learning a lot too. The new DMX and Mixer technology is something that we have never worked with before so we have had to do a lot or research and training to understand how and why it works. This is excited because it gives us skills we can use in College and in a Career.
Thank you for supporting us and bringing our Theater into the 21st Century.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Andersen

Funded Oct 28, 2015First off we want to say Thank you. It was so great to be able to work on a project and see it get funded and put into real life. We started this because our teacher said it would be a good real world experience. We went along with him, hoping he would do most of the work. The more we worked on it, we began to take ownership and we have been the leaders.
The technology that we received has been a great addition to our Theater. We have had to learn an entire different language to operate them efficiently. We have spent several hours after school, testing, trying, failing, and winning. We are excited to put them into use at our big community celebration.
Thank you again for supporting us and giving us the skills to work in the real world.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Andersen

Funded Oct 23, 2015First I want to say thank you to you. You have made it possible to get the resources that we need to allow these students to put on a great show and feel proud about what they do.
We are using the resources you provided in our Theater to benefit all of the students in our school. We are presenting a show called Celebration of Dance and the students will use the lights, and mics to ensure that the show is powerful and professional.
I have had several of my students who struggle become really excited and engaged in our theater now that we have these tools. They are excited to work with them and share it with our community.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Andersen
Help Us Turn On the Lights, Camera, and Action!
Funded Oct 20, 2014I first want to start off with the biggest thank you possible. Your donation helped my students get the materials they needed to put on a first rate production. We were able to perform High School Musical Jr. to a sold out crowd and will perform our Multicultural Dance Concert to over 2000 people over two nights. You have made it possible for them to feel confident and proud of the productions they work on.
The students have learned so many life skills that will help them as they move forward. The Stage Tech skills they gain will allow them to be involved in high school and get scholarships to college. But more than that they have learned how to work together to produce something that they can be proud of. A show they can put on for their parents and community and smile, knowing that they did that.
You gift allowed me to step back from teaching them and allow them to teach me. It allowed my students to be put in the drivers seat and they taught me more than I would have ever taught them.
Thank you again! You will never know how important you and your kinda words and donations mean to me and my students.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Andersen

Funded Oct 25, 2013First off I want to tell you thank you. Thank you for reaching out to help my classroom when they needed it most. My students were so excited to get our bins to help us organize in our classroom. They immediately took ownership of them and now have developed a system to store papers and other supplies so they can find things easy and feel successful.
We are using the bind to help us keep papers organized in class so we do not lose as many papers when they are kept in the backpack. My students are able to be successful in class because they do not have to worry about leaving a paper anywhere. It is always in class, ready to be worked on.
This is helping my students learning my removing the variable of the students organizational skills and puts the focus back on academics fully. I am able to spend less time dealing with clutter and repassing out worksheets that were lost. This has been a great thing for my class and my students. Thank you again!”

Funded Sep 13, 2013Thank you again for your help in achieving my goals for our classroom. My students were so excited to receive the white boards and pencils. Many of them could not believe that there were people out there who cared enough about them to send them some supplies.
The whiteboards are a huge hit in our classroom, we use them almost everyday. The students like the fact that they can answer questions in class without yelling out ( I do too) :) I love the fact that I can see what all my students are thinking as we move through a lesson and the whiteboards allow me to ensure that everyone is understanding the lesson.
Ultimately these supplies have helped our classroom by encouraging the students voice to be present and allowing them to have the supplies they need so they can focus on the all important task of learning.
Thank you again for all help!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Andersen
