Operation Recreation
Funded Mar 1, 2025Thank you for your generous offering to our school.
Your donation will help my students and our school community be able to enjoy these recreational activities.
We currently run ultimate frisbee and badminton clubs with a large number of participants during our lunch periods. This equipment will be used in these clubs and in our physical education classes.

Let's Play!
Funded Jul 20, 2023Thank you for the generous donation of equipment to my school and Physical Education program.
Your donation of plastic indoor balls and indoor softballs are being used currently in many different areas of our program.
With a heavy daily flow of eager high school students and a tight available equipment budget it is vital to have donations like yours come through.
We use this donation to work on hand-eye coordination exercises and to play indoor softball during the winter months.
Thanks again and please know that your donation is being put to good use.

Basketball Stars
Funded Jan 30, 2020Well this project was awarded right before we went remote for Covid 19 but recently I have gotten to use the equipment and it has been great for my students.
The basketballs are great. I just completed my second basketball unit and having each student be able to work with his/her own ball is a huge plus. Each student is able to work on individual skill sets for the duration of the period - it's awesome.
We will be finishing up our unit with 3v3 tournaments.
Thank you for your generous donation. My students are benefiting tremendously.”

Mr. Arazosa
Motivate to Cooperate
Funded Mar 9, 2016Dear Donors,
Your generous donation has enabled my students to continually participate in cooperative and team sport games that they have learned in my PE classes this semester. A favorite game for my older students is Omnikin ball. It is a great cooperative game that has really caught on this semester. When my seniors arrive for PE they often ask for Omnikin ball as their warm-up game.
The equipment gets used every day that students are in the gym. I feel this donation has helped my PE program tremendously because without ample equipment I am not able to enable each student due to large class sizes.
It means a great deal to me and my student body to receive donorschoose.org materials. It means that people outside of our school care enough to send money our way to help us with our day to day processes in school.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Arazosa
Let's Get It!!
Funded Dec 30, 2014My students are getting a lot of activity with the equipment you have recently donated. We have been using the basketballs and footballs this week in our gym. Having so many girls regulation size basketballs has helped get more of my female students up and playing.
The feedback has been great and having more equipment means more student participation in my gym.
When we open class with our fitness based warm-up's I use the basketballs for the students to run/dribble/pass with. This improves their hand eye coordination and control of the ball. It also makes the warm-up more fun for the students. With more equipment I am able to have students work in partner or small groups with the ball.
Many of my students are tactile learners; they are hands on. Putting equipment in their hands seems to motivate them. Your donation has increased the amount of tactile learning in my gym.”

Mr. Arazosa
Spring Into Action
Funded May 12, 2014Thank you from all of us here at school who benefited from your generous donation.
Your donation directly impacts my students who use the equipment.
The equipment that I received helped me continue to include all students in the physical education program at our school. With your donation we had more highly needed materials to get students up and running, smiling, playing and enjoying the end of the year activities.
The girls size basketballs were particularly helpful and used by the girls in my classes. The Omnikin ball was a huge success. All grade level classes used the balls and learned several cooperative games that are associated with the Omnikin balls.
Thank you again for funding this project and for helping out the students of my school.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Arazosa
Operation Cooperation
Funded Dec 9, 2013Your donation has definitely enhanced my students learning experiences in the gym. My students use the omnikin balls each day and often ask for it at recess.
The omnikin balls offer a wide variety of uses in cooperative games. We also use the balls for oversize volleyball games which is most popular among my students.
At times it can be difficult to get high school students motivated to participate in Physical Education. Your donation of the omnikin balls gets many more of my students up and involved in my classes.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Arazosa

Funded Apr 10, 2013Thank you so very much for your generous donation of physical education equipment to our school. You donations have placed equipment directly into the hands of my students that would definitely not have gotten there otherwise due to our severely current constrained budget.
It is donors like you that have made an impact on the lives of the students I teach each day. The equipment donated from you has made our phys ed program more enjoyable and practical this spring semester. The equipment will also be used int he fall semester of the upcoming school year.
I am fortunate to work with great kids from our great city. The experience is one I highly value.
Thank you for making my job better!”

Mr. Arazosa
Teaching Cooperation Through Physical Activity
Funded Mar 1, 2012Thank you for the generous donation to our school. The students really enjoying playing with the Omnikin balls for games like volleyball, cooperative Ominkin and a game we call 'Keep It Up!'.
I feel so lucky to work with great inner city kids who despite many obstacles in their lives continue to come to school and try to improve themselves. Through generous donations like the one you have made I am able to offer my students a chance to participate in activities that they have never seen before.
Cooperation is an essential skill in developing both personal and social responsibility skills. Your donation has enabled me to bring these skills sets into my students lives.
Thank you again so very much from all of us here!”

Mr. Arazosa
This classroom project was brought to life by Seth Sprague Foundation and 4 other donors.Cooperation Equals Success
Funded May 22, 2011Thank you so very much for the materials you funded to be donated to my gymnasium.
I work in a Title 1 school and this year in particular our school is working with a severely stressed budget. All teachers in my building are working with less materials and more students this school year.
Already in my large Physical Education classes I have used the equipment that you donated. My students really enjoy the cooperative games associated with the equipment and these type games help them to work together and build relationships that will last the entire school year and into their schooling future.
Please know that your generous donation is making a positive difference in the lives of my high school students.
Thank you again from all of us!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Arazosa
