Tech Time in 1st Grade!
Funded Nov 13, 2024My first grade class and I would like to thank you tremendously for your generous donation to provide us with new tablets for our classroom. The students have been so grateful for being able to focus on their math and reading programs without worrying about if the tablet was going to shut off in mid lesson. The tablet allows the students to receive their differentiated math and reading lessons daily. Since we've have the tablets, each student has passed several lessons in each subject and have been so excited to share their success with their classmates. Thank you again!!”

Funded Jul 8, 2024Thank you so much for all of the mentor texts! The students are thrilled to have started our new writing curriculum this year. We have read Rocket Writes a Story and What Do Authors Do? Having these texts allows the students to gain a deeper understanding of how they are authors already!
The students ask each day what new book we will be reading during our Reading and Writing Block. The students are eager to see what new skill I will be introducing and how that skill will be introduced through a new book!

Mathematicians Need Tablets!
Funded Jan 29, 2024Thank you all so very much for the generous donation to my project for student devices in my first grade classroom. These tablets allow more students to access iReady and several other educational applications to help students build on foundational literacy and math skills. Students are thrilled that they are able to access the tablets numerous times throughout the week in order to meet their lesson goal. Students track their lesson completion and show great pride in passing and completing lessons. Thank you again for providing these devices to my students.”

Basic Materials to Help Us Grow!
Funded Mar 19, 2023Thank you all so much for donating to my first grade classroom! The students love the foam dice to help them with their math fluency. They also use the dice for reading and writing words! Students are able to be focused and on task in their tablets when they have their new headphones on. Students are very excited to use the math rulers to measure classroom objects and compare lengths of various objects. Students use the coloring books during indoor recess. The students are very grateful for each of these new products. Thank you again!”

First Grade Needs Supplies!
Funded Jan 24, 2023Thank you so much for your donations. My students and I are so very appreciative of your thoughtfulness. All of the first grade students were so excited to receive brand new black dry erase markers to use at their independent work stations. They were thrilled to open the boxes and see new books! We enjoyed reading the new texts and then placing them in our classroom library so students can interact and read the books during their independent reading time! Classroom Supplies
Funded May 4, 2022Thank you very much for helping fund this project for my first grade classroom. These materials helped my students tackle complex equations on their whiteboards and they also created a project on animal adaptions using the supplies funded! They were ecstatic when they saw all of the supplies that were for our classroom! As a teacher, it is great to not have to worry about limiting the students creativity because I don't have enough supplies on hand. Your contribution helped our classroom thrive and for that we are so grateful!”

Funded Apr 1, 2021We cannot thank you enough for your generosity! The beanbags and chairs allow the the kids to be comfortable while learning! Students use the bean bags and chairs to relax and read a book, participate in small groups through their devices and work together during literacy work stations. The students were surprised and extremely grateful for all of the flexible seating options that you all made possible. Each student says THANK YOU for providing such a wonderful addition to our 2nd grade classroom this year.”

Truesdell Trojans: Virtual Learning Superstars
Funded Aug 29, 2020We cannot thank you enough for supporting our classroom project! Our students were elated when they received their boards to create their very own personal learning space!
Our students use these materials to create a personalized space with math resources, letters, sounds, and decorations to make it their own! With these resources they are able to have a quiet space to learn, focus and work on assignments without having to worry about distractions around them.
All of the students were so excited to create their learning space and were eager to show one another in class!

Celebrate Diversity
Funded Jun 12, 2020Thank you all very much for your donation toward this project! My students are amazing scholars who love to immerse themselves in books and being able to see themselves in the texts they are reading is so important! In our current climate, celebrating and appreciating diversity is increasingly more important. As the books continue to come in, I feel so much gratitude to all of you who funded this project. Saturday Surprises!
Funded Jan 30, 2020We cannot thank you enough for all of the surprises that you were able to give to our Saturday Academy students!! These students take time out of their Saturdays to engage in reading, writing and math small groups to become even more invested in their education!!
After their small groups, students are so eager to join together for a raffle where they are able to win candy, toys, books, and swag!! Through these prizes, we have seen student attendance increase throughout the weeks and students become very invested during their small group! Thank you!!!”
