Art Supplies for All
Funded May 7, 2021These supplies have infused so much excitement in my classroom! My students are so thrilled to have new paints, REAL art paper and new colored pencils! Many times my students have had to use their second and third choice of colors as the paints I had for class were missing colors...and now they get their full choice of BRAND NEW color pallets! Although this seems basic, watching my students light up when they got their new sets of art supplies has been magical!
In addition to the art supplies, having the wooden mail organizer has made managing art projects SO MUCH easier! I am so thankful for this system in my classroom. It has enabled my students to manage their projects and keep their work organized, supporting my goal of created independent students. This system has also helped to keep their projects from blowing all over the classroom and sometimes getting ruined/lost.
Finally, our new digital response boards have made quick reviews and checks for understanding so much fun! We have also done lots of "quick draws" with these. It is so helpful to not have to worry about dry erase markers, which many of my students can not afford.
Thank you again for your generosity and support!”
With gratitude,

Funded Dec 2, 2020I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous donations that helped to fulfill a need in my classroom. The new technology has allowed me to communicate more engaging lessons, provide additional opportunities for my students to practice skills, engage in new learning and to improve the quality of the contact time I have with them both online and in person.
One of the most exciting features about the new iPad is the apple pen! My students get so excited to work on the iPad when they have the apple pen in their hands and many have never even seen one. The apple pen has led to students begging for their turn to work with the iPad! It is also so helpful to have technology that is up to date and can download the latest and greatest learning materials. I know my students deserve the best, so it is so amazing when they get what they deserve...the best!
One of my students that has really struggled this year has become extremely fond of her iPad time and the opportunities to work on her reading. I have created a folder on the iPad with her name on it where she has a selection of learning materials and books to work on her reading. She earns time to use the iPad (her free choice time) and accesses items in her folder. This folder has made such a difference in my students' motivation, she is so excited she does not realize that she is actually practicing key foundational skills while "playing" in her folder.
I can not thank you enough for your generosity and support during the most difficult time of my 23 year teaching career.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hironaka
