  • Tools for Success

    Funded Apr 21, 2025

Thank you for helping me restocked many needed items for my classroom. It is this time of year when many of the basic supplies are low or completely out. You have made it possible for my students to continue on their learning journey and not have to go without much needed supplies.

You would think things like pencils, eraser caps, staples etc... are not a big deal, but I can assure you they are like gold in a 2nd grade classroom.

Thank you again for your generous donation and making it possible for me to keep providing very special opportunities for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hironaka

  • Blue Chairs!

    Funded Mar 12, 2025

The impact of properly fitted seats should never be underestimated! The quality of my students work has greatly improved since I started working on getting the proper sized chairs for them.

Along with their work quality, their focus and overall enthusiasm for sitting in class and enjoying their work space has increased significantly! Furniture and work space if often overlooked due to budget cuts and limits. It is really unfortunate that this is not a priority.

I am forever thankful for people like you who are willing and able to help support my students in their learning journey.”

  • Chairs, Chairs, Chairs!

    Funded Nov 6, 2024

Thank you so much for helping my students secure chairs that are the proper size and that support their work and development.

Having the correct size chair to work from has such an impact on student success. People often do not realize the value of a good chair... my students sure do appreciate having chairs that fit!

I wish you could hear/experience the excitement of unboxing the new chairs. My students are more comfortable, doing better work and able to focus for longer periods of time thanks to your generous donation!”

  • Seats That Fit!

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

Thank you so much for helping me provide chairs that are the right size for my students. They've grown so much, and the old chairs just weren't comfortable for them anymore. Having properly fitted chairs not only makes a big difference in comfort, but it also supports better posture and enhances the quality of their work.

Chairs are often overlooked, but the impact of a good, well-sized chair is immense! A chair that fits properly has a significant effect on students' comfort and overall experience.

I truly appreciate your help in making such an important difference in a simple yet meaningful way.”

  • Take a Seat!

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

This project started out as a project to obtain new chairs for my class. Due to supply chain issues, my order was cancelled three different times.

Eventually I had to change my project and was able to get some very special STEM and art supplies.

My students were so thankful for all the new and special items we were able to add to our class collection. They have been enjoying the STEM and art supplies when they finish their work early and when we have indoor recess (which has been happening a lot lately).

Thank you for supporting my students!”

  • Welcoming Learning Space

    Funded Mar 3, 2023

Thank you for helping me provide these special resources to my students! The school year budget does not have enough in it to provide these coveted books. My students literally squealed when they saw all the books! These books have also helped my hesitant readers to be more comfortable with books and even start to seek books to read! Huge accomplishment thanks to your generosity.

I look forward to using these books and resources for many years to come.

Thank you for investing in my class and most of all my students.”

  • STEM, STEM, STEM!

    Funded Mar 14, 2023

STEM is such an exciting fun and educational experience for my students. It motivates them to come to school, to be creative and to apply many things they've learned throughout their time in school. Without the support from generous donors such as yourself, I could not afford to provide these special opportunities to my students.

Thank you for your generosity and investing in my students. Know that your donation has made a difference, especially for my very special group of students.

It takes a village, THANK you for being part of my village!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hironaka

Over 80% of my students receive free and reduced lunch and live in public housing. For low- income families, technology is just not an option in their budget. Our school funds often go to cover basic and essential items such as staff, books, Xerox copies, curriculum, and basic supplies. We rarely have "extra" funds that can support enrichment materials and items that are considered beyond necessity. My overall goal for theses funds is fund an engaging and fun learning environment that my students are excited to come to every day! I want to build a passion that will last their entire lives. My goal is to build motivated, life long learners.
