  • Distance Learning at a Glance!

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you so very much for taking an interest in our project and our kiddos' success. Your contributions to our project made it possible for us to equip ourselves/myself with the materials necessary in order to create a positive learning environment. The document camera will allow me to share books and other materials with the students to make it more visually pleasing. Also, having a mobile scanner can make it much easier to scan worksheets and display on the computer. All these items makes my teaching through distance learning just a little bit easier.

Thank you again for your generous contribution,”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Otano

  • Down to Basics

    Funded Aug 4, 2020

The goal of this project was to promote and encourage the emotional health and mental well-being of my students as we take part in remote learning due to the present day health crisis. This school year, it is my plan to provide my students with an opportunity to engage in daily social emotional learning skills acquisition by engaging in fun journaling activities daily. The materials you so generously funded will be used to accomplish this goal! Thank you so very much for your kind generosity and for taking an interest in our project and our students' success! You are appreciated."”

  • Keeping Clean and Fresh!

    Funded Mar 25, 2020

It is an overwhelming feeling to hear that your much needed project was funded during these diffucult times that we are all experiencing. These very important and needed items will be used in our classroom for students that might need them. Health bags will be prepared and available for any student or family that might need it. The boxes of LeVie feminine hygiene will be used not only for my classroom but for all 4th and 5th grade girls to learn about the changes in their bodies. They will also receive a feminine baggie to use and take home.

    Thank once again ,”

  • Supplies for Now!

    Funded Jun 8, 2020

It is always a great feeling to receive notificaton that one of your projects has been funded but during these difficult times for all this feeling is even greater. My students and I are excited to start a new school year and having these resources and materials will be extremely useful as we prepare our classroom. As we prepare, the items such as the rolling cart will be useful to carry our bottles of handsanitizer, wipes and other germ free items. My new remote laser clicker will come in handy when using it to work with students from afar. All other items will be used throughout the school year.

Once again, thank you for supporting and helping educators everywhere.”

  • Distance Learning is the New Norm!

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thank you again for your donations to my project. The new computer has made a huge impact in the way I was able to instruct my lessons during Distance Learning. This resource made it possible for me to use graphics, videos and other media lessons that were interactive. Once returning to the classroom setting, the computer will be used by our media production team to present various ways of communication school-wide.

It is important to consider that without a state of the art computer I would of not been able to teach my students during this pandemic.”

  • Printing Away in the Media Center

    Funded Dec 15, 2019

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Your donation was able to fund a much needed color printer for the hub of the school, the Media Center. The printer has been a great resource for every student and teacher to use. Students are able to print projects such as research papers and other assigned work. Our teachers have also had the opportunity to use the printer for color copies and they are able to print data reports in color. This is definitely an all-in-one resource .

    Once again thank you !”

    Funded Mar 8, 2020

Wow! What a wonderful surprise!! I can't wait to share the news with my students that our project was funded. They are going to be ecstatic! Words cannot express how truly thankful I am. It warms my heart to know that there are selfless people like you who are willing to support classrooms in need. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated!””

  • Let's Seal It

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

There are no words to express my gratitude for funding my project. This has been an item that not only the Media Center (hub of the school) but everyone in the school has been desperately waiting for. We have been in dyer need of a laminating machine since the end of the previous school year. Teachers and students are constantly looking for lamination for their projects and activities. Students love seeing their work displayed around their classrooms or school hallways laminating them makes this possible.

Thank you again for such a great resource.”

  • Book It Right!

    Funded Jul 9, 2019

Thank you so much for funding my project. All the resources have made an impact to all the students that come visit the library.

The use of the vinyl has modernized the area and makes to room a happier place for them to select books. It has really given the library a fresh look. The pom poms just bring smiles to everyone that walks in.

Many of our books had damaged or missing labels and thanks to our new label maker we have been able to label books and shelf them. The students are able to find the books faster and have an easier access to them. Many of the other resources are being used in a variety of ways and are greatly appreciated.

Once again, thank you for bringing smiles to my students.”

  • Can You Hear Me?

    Funded Aug 1, 2019

Thank you so much for funding my project for much needed headphones. The students were so excited to see that each computer in the media center will be able to have a brand new headphone. These headphones will be used daily and in multiply occasions when students use the desktops computers. Many students are tested three times a year for reading diagnostics. Also, headphones are always set out for students to use when they come to complete projects or reading programs before the school bell rings or when coming to check out books.

The headphones have been a game changer. Once again, thank you!”

I have to start by saying that the school where I teach is very special to me. It was the same elementary school I attended as a child. The neighborhood has changed but the feeling you get when you are there has not. The building itself was built in 1944 and has been added as one of the cities' historical monuments. You will find a "melting pot" of students here that care for one another and are not afraid to show where they are from. We are a Title I school and 90% are on free or reduced lunch. They come from broken homes or families that have been separated because they came to the US looking for a better life. Yet this does not stop their eagerness to learn and succeed. For some, the language barrier seems difficult but yet I see their love for it and what they can become.
