Have you ever had to sit in a professional development, meeting or classroom for seven hours? If so, you know how uncomfortable it can be. This project will make the classroom a more comfortable environment by providing flexible seating which allows students to move and also be comfortable while learning. It will also meet the needs of different type of learners especially the kinesthetic learners and children with ADD or ADHD. Flexible seating will provide my students with the opportunity to decide what seat choices best suit their learning needs. With your support, we will be kick-starting flexible seating in our classroom with wobble seat, Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball - Flexible School Chair, Active Classroom Desk Seating , and Big Joe Stack Chairs. The wobble seats will benefit my active students, who need some movement while they problem-solve or are working in a station. In addition, the Big Joe Stack Bean Bag chairs will support my students by providing a comfortable place to practice reading. Please help me to enhance my room with flexible seating for my awesome second graders.
