Rainbow Away Organization in Our Room!
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my project and allowing me to get materials that create a functional charging area for our computers.
I was able to create a space that is organized and easy for all students to access. This allows them to follow routines and procedures when getting out devices as well as putting them away for charging. The racks are stable and the color coding system for both the racks and chargers allows the kids to easily find where their computer goes and lets me easily know who is missing. The clips hold all charging cords in place so it is not a tangled mess like before!
The wobble stool has also allowed me to move around the classroom and help all learners. This has been especially helpful at the start of a new school year as students adjust to new expectations.
Thank you again for your gifts that have allowed my classroom to be better organized and more functional!”

Mrs. Matthaey
This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 3 other donors.Let's Get "SOR"ing
Funded Apr 11, 2022This project has had a huge impact on my students. Over the summer I was able to use the materials to creating decodable books which allow all my students to have a book at "their level" ready to read. This allows them to feel confident and grow as students and learners.
I was also able to use the zipper bags and cardstock to creat differentiated learning centers. These centers help keep students engaged and on task while allow them to learn skills that are unique to them. The zipper bags allow the stations to be portable so students can move around the room to an area that is most comfortable for them as well as keeping them organized so they can be re-used by multiple students and future years.
The hands on materials such as poppers, pointers, and magntic wands have allowed my small group instruction to be hands on as the students become readers. At 5, sitting still is not ieasy, and not necessary. These tools allow my students to show what they know while also getting movement and having fun.”

Building Toolkits for our Future
Funded Jul 24, 2020These bags have already made such a difference for my students and we just completed week one. The materials from this project allowed me to create learning bags with math and reading toolkits as well as other supplies so all students have access to the same materials to enhance their learning..
The student loved going through their bags and seeing all of the wonderful materials that are included. They were so excited to have access to items that would usually only be found at school.
Having these materials at home will allow my students to get a better education as they have access to hands on materials, manipulatives, and visuals instead of just having a computer screen in front of them. This is extremely important, especially for our littlest learners and would not have been possible without you!”

Mrs. Matthaey
Get Your Wiggles Out
Funded Nov 26, 2019Thank you so much for our flexible seating options! When the students saw the giant boxes coming in they were so excited to open them as a class.
After we got the packages open we explored the different seating options and then together as a class made rules for how they would be used.
They have been used everyday since during whole group and station time. They have given the students so many options for seating and getting their wiggles out while allowing them to focus on the learning at hand.
We look forward to continuing to use the items to learn, collaborate, and just enjoy being five. Thank you so much.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Matthaey
