We sit on the floor a lot! Teacher included! Our current classroom carpet is at least 25 years old. It has served us well but it's time for it to go!
We need a new cozy classroom carpet to make our classroom the best it can be. We meet on our carpet every morning for our daily morning meeting. We have guided reading lessons there as well as guided math lessons. Students complete literacy workstations, S.T.E.A.M bins and math workstations on our classroom carpet. Students sit and write stories on their clipboards and read self-selected books there. We use this space all day.
We move around our room all day and our big classroom carpet is a BIG part of our classroom. A classroom carpet is essential to our positive learning environment. We need a new big, bright rug in 1st grade!
