  • Developing Young Minds

    Funded Nov 8, 2023

We have just received our materials and the students were thrilled to open the boxes as they came in. We have already begun to use some of the literacy games and supports.

I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Your donations are much needed and will be used for years to come. These materials will support young readers with guidance from the science of reading. Students will be able to tap, sound out and blend words together which will result in producing beginning readers and writers.

Also, thank you for the additional math supports which will greatly help our young students with foundational math learning. Please know that these materials really do make a difference in classrooms across the country.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors & Young Sheldon on CBS and one other donor.
  • Kindergarten Outdoor Play

    Funded Dec 14, 2022

WOW! We love using our new equipment! Thank you so much for your generous and impactful donation! These resources / play equipment will allow the children to incorporate social skills, language development, beginning reading and writing skills, and develop a love for math. Play is linked to growth in memory, self-regulation, oral language, and recognizing symbols and to higher levels of school adjustment and increased social development. These materials will be used for years to come. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

  • Putting the Horse before the Cart!

    Funded Dec 14, 2022

WOW ! We love our new cart! Thank you for generously donating to our class project! Organizing sporting equipment can be a challenge because so much of it is bulky and unusually shaped. You are allowing us to to properly store and organize our sporting equipment.

This cart so that we can easily get to (or put away) our equipment and also be able to store it in a way that it doesn't get damaged. I want to provide a place where physical activity (games) are encouraged and are conveniently accessible for small hands.”

  • "In the Reeds" of Reading!

    Funded Dec 7, 2022

Decodable readers that enable students to 'sound out,' rather than guess, unknown words develop this reflex and lead to more successful independent reading. Scientists found that children were more likely to apply their phonics knowledge, read more accurately, and needed less assistance when reading decodable books.

And so thank you so much for your generous donation. We are so excited to read with our new decodables! They will ensure that our children will be ready for first grade at the end of this school year. The phonics games will be a great and fun support when learning to decode. Thank you so much and rest assured that these resources will be used for years to come.”

    Mrs. Campbell

  • Extra, Extra, Learn All About It!

    Funded Nov 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation of Scholastic's "Let's Find Out". This resource connects our students' lives to the topics that we need to teach in easy, self-contained lessons. It includes multimedia resources that help grow knowledge, build skills and support every reader. The students get added support from parents when we send them home (after we've completed them in class).

These magazines help produce well rounded scholars who in turn become people who are intellectually curious about the people and the world around them. For example, in November and December, the topics are: Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Native American Heritage Month and Reindeer. So interesting for any child! Again, thank you so very much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

  • Becoming Math Experts

    Funded Sep 1, 2022

Please know that this donation is invaluable to any teacher in any school! These gift cards allow me to support and guide my students in any subject area. I am able to find phonics worksheets, Boom Cards (digital task cards that exist exclusively in the cloud), PowerPoint presentations, math supports, social studies and science projects. The list goes on and on.

Another wonderful advantage is that these resources can be used for years to come. I am able to share with other teachers. Your very generous donation is very important to me and my students. Thank you so much.”

  • Keeping Our Noses Clean

    Funded Aug 13, 2022

Thank you so much for generously donating these much needed supplies to our class. Sometimes, we are short on basic supplies that we very much much need. It does fall to me as the teacher to make up on these necessities. So, your donations really do make a difference. Thank you!

In addition, I would like to thank you for supplying my students with a book binder that will allow me to bind copies of their "finished" work. This binder would be able to allow students to have bound copies of their finished accomplishments and/or structured work assignments. Please know that this book binder will be used to years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 6 other donors.
  • Cracking the ABC Code

    Funded Jun 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation of "Decodable Texts" for our young readers. These decodable readers develop phonological decoding skills, and this is the focus of our text construction. As children master more of the alphabetic code and progress through a series of decodable books, the vocabulary and story structure become more elevated.

The use of decodable texts helps young readers become confident in their reading abilities. When provided the opportunity to apply their phonetic skills to connected text, young readers become less dependent on others to word solve.

Please know that with your help and support, these materials really do make a big difference. These books will be used for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

This classroom project was brought to life by Center for Disaster Philanthropy and one other donor.
  • READING: To The Letter!

    Funded Apr 26, 2022

We love our new alphabet beads! These beads allow kids so many fun ways to get comfortable with letters and the sounds they represent. We have played a few phonics games like matching letters, digging in the sand tray, assembling ABCs, spelling names, letter strings, segmenting, sorting, and finding the missing letter.

Your generosity is helping children to sequence the alphabet, practice spelling skills; they are also exercising their hands-on and hand-eye coordination ability.

Please know that these materials will be used for years to come! Thank you for supporting education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Campbell

  • Full "STEM" Ahead!

    Funded Jul 13, 2022

WOW! Thanks so much for your generous funding! My students are loving being able to explore and manipulate materials on their own. They have been building and creating the most original designs. Because STEM studies is about learning the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, my students are able to solve some STEM of these they are often answering a STEM question (often a question the child creates herself).

These activities encourage children to see subjects like math and science in a new light, and how to use those subjects to solve their day to day problems and the problems that they might face as adults.

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and education. The materials will be used for years to come. Your support does make a difference in the lives of children and the adults that they will become!”
