Making Food My Way
Funded Jan 20, 2022Thank you for all of your support with this project. The students are loving the deli slice makers. The imaginative play and social skills that they are learning and doing together are awesome to see. The students are learning to play together and showing me skills that they have learned together. The students are showing skills that they learn from home and earlier in play time.
The pieces having the velcro are amazing. The students can stack and work on making sandwiches and the pieces don't go flying when they pick them up!
Thanks!”

Shop 'Til You Drop
Funded Jan 14, 2022The amount of engagement and learning in the classroom has increased so much when including this in the classroom. Students are excited to start playing with their friends and 'shopping' for their families. I am seeing so much great growth with students participating with other students and being creative in the classroom.
They are using the skills they have learned with their own families and are incorporating some of the same habits and cultures with shopping. The students are learning so much from each other as well as learning how to share, play, and socialize with each other.
Thank you!”

Funded Dec 29, 2021These books are so amazing! The content and interest from the students are hitting the roof. The pictures in the book and the different amounts of reading are making such a huge impact with many different students in the class. The students that struggle with reading are still able to understand with the vivid pictures incorporated in each book. The students that are higher with their reading skills are interested as well.
I love to see the kids read and I love to see the kids want books so bad they are talking and sharing the books!”

Funded Dec 16, 2021Thank you for helping provide the students with what helps them be successful!
These specific chews help the students with sensory, fine motor, and communication skills. The students are able to use these chews to help them supplement what they need while still allowing them to learn.
The students are the youngest of learners in our school district. Supports like these help them grow their foundational skills and perform within the classroom as best as they can.
Thank you for helping the students get what they need to be successful in the classroom.”

Doctor's Office: Don't Be Afraid
Funded Dec 21, 2021The imagination is running wild in the classroom with the students and playing with the doctor office. It is so fun to see the students go right into what they know and implement what the adults are doing in other environments. The students have been able to check their friends to see if they are sick or patch boos boos in the classroom.
The doctor's office is perfect size for the students to learn and play and climb. The items that came with the doctor's office are so cute to see the students role playing as a doctor or a patient!”

Funded Dec 15, 2021Boy oh boy do these wagons make a difference with transititioning with our youngest of learners. These wagons are used for students that have a hard time traveling long distances. By using these wagons, the students are able to stay with their peers and walk from place to place and be on time. The wagons provide support for students to be helped into the building from the bus as well. Our walk is a long walk around the parking lot. These wagons are keeping the students safe and allowing them to stay with their peers the entire route to pick up their friends from the bus.”

Funded Dec 21, 2021Thank you for helping provide books in the hands of the youngest learners. These books have been a huge hit with the students. They have familiar characters that the students are relating to. These books have already been in many classrooms and have been used during large group and small group. The students are engaged and love the learning about a new story.
The students' faces were so precious to see when they learned someone donated books for them to learn. They took the books and immediately opened them and explored the pictures.”

Empower Young Women
Funded Dec 15, 2021Thank you for your support and giving to this project. These products are available to many girls within the school. At times, girls come to the nurse to help provide them with their necessary items. These items are available to all students at anytime.
The products are provided to the students so they can focus on their education and learning. These products should not be a worry for the girls while they are at school. This project has provided a sense of relief to the students so they don't have to worry about their basic needs while trying to learn in the classroom.”

Funded Dec 1, 2021Boy do we use math activites and task everyday in the classroom. The bears and cubes have been used in a small group with the students. They have showed me how to catergorize, sort, identify, and count with just using these two additional items in the classroom.
We will be introducing the other activities within the class in the next few weeks. I am excited to watch the student learn through activities without even knowing they are counting, adding, and subtracting. These basic foundational skills will be helping them far into their future when transitioning to kindergarten next year.”

Outdoor Engineering
Funded Dec 1, 2021The logs and stumps have added so much to our play area. We have been able to use them inside during recess in the gym and during outside play. These trees and stumps have been used by students making a path, game, imagination with not touching the floor, and has been working on their balancing skills.
All students have been able to either stand or walk across these trees and stumps. The teachers are enjoying and modeling some imaginative play with the students and they are enjoying the games available to them now!
Thanks!”
