My students need rich, authentic literature to use daily to develop their growing reading skills. Our classroom is made up of a diverse group of learners who come ready to learn at different levels. We range from below level, struggling readers, to advanced above grade level readers. These magazines offer differentiated lessons using high interest articles that the students love. Scholastic StoryWorks magazines offer rich vocabulary and authentic reading for the 2017-2018 school year. Each student will receive their own print-rich news magazine monthly to be used for reading instruction. Specifically, students will read and respond to the text by synthesizing their knowledge. Each magazine contains several articles with both fiction and non-fiction genres. This fantastic resource includes a teacher's guide with both digital and printable materials.
