Whiteboards to Increase Student Voice!
Funded Oct 24, 2019Thank you very much for the magnetic white boards for my students! When I opened the box, the students were so excited to see new, magnetic whiteboards!
Every school day, my students "show what they know" using the white boards. They are very enthusiastic to hold up their whiteboards and show their mathematical thinking. This increases their ability to share their thinking and build upon the thinking of others.
Literacy is another area that has been positively impacted. Proper letter formation helps students to write with ease. Having lines on one side has increased proficiency in this area. Also, students have had fun practicing words with magnetic letters during word work.
With your generous donation, my students are now able to practice skills in an ecologically friendly way each day. They are so excited to use them, and have been showing care for their new materials.
My students feel valued by your generosity. It helps them realize that their work is important, and that there are people who care about their future. Thank you again for caring about these amazing first graders!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Golden

Funded Sep 15, 2014I cannot thank you enough for your generosity in funding our project! My students were ecstatic to receive four Kindle Fires for our classroom. Each day they enthusiastically ask for their turn to use the Fires.
We are using the Fires to download books to for students to read, or to be read to them. This is great because there is no wear and tear on the copies. We also have fun reading and math apps that reinforce the students skill's. All students love exploring and practicing with these apps, but it has been particularly important for my students who struggle and don't have access to this type of technology at home. The interactive technology makes them want to continue to practice where they may have given up with less exciting materials.
With this technology I am able to target students needs, and provide them with a fun way to learn. It has also helped us provide small group instruction, which is key in moving all learners to their full potential.
My students and I thank you for supporting students in our community!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Golden
