We are currently labeled as a priority school this upcoming school year. Our district has a high percentage of families in low-economic status many of whom receive free/reduced lunch. Many families are single parent homes, which can make it difficult for parent involvement in our school. Some students live in unstable homes and many move from place to place. As a teacher, it is my job to create a fun, safe, learning environment where they come to everyday wanting to learn.
